  • How do I wean my 10 month old off nursing at night?

My daughter nurses 4-5 times a night and she's 10 months old. The doctor told me she should be sleeping through the night at this point but didn't give me any advice on how to do this. Any advice would be appreciated. I tried to leave her for a few minutes last night when she woke up to see if she'd put herself back to sleep but she screamed bloody murder until I nursed her and then was up for 3 hrs after wards. It's getting really frustrating. I never get a good nights sleep!

  • If you had to plan a wedding in 2 weeks with as little money as possible...?

What would you do for it? Where would you have it? Any creative cheap ideas would help a lot!

  • Are you happy with you post baby body?

I had a baby 6 weeks ago and I'm very discouraged. I gained 50 lbs during pregnancy, and I've lost 40 of it, but my body still looks absolutely horrible. I got stretch marks all over my butt, thighs, stomach, and boobs. My stomach is completely flabby and hangs over my pants. Is it possible for this to get better or is it going to stay flabby cuz it got so stretched out? Is there hope for me to like my body post baby? Or will I always look in the mirror and be disappointed. Id like to be able to wear a bathing suit again one day.

  • Why did it take me so long to bond with my baby?

Everyone talks about an instant connection... I never got that. I loved her and thought she was absolutly beautiful but she didn't feel like mine. Now its 20 days later and all of a sudden I feel a connection with her. I miss her after I don't see her for even an hour. I'm also a lot happier and can't help but look at her all the time. Now I feel like she's the best thing that was ever created. What took so long? I feel bad that I didn't feel a bond with her right away. I feel like I was a horrible mother for the first 20 days of her life because I didn't enjoy being her mom.

  • Loosing baby weight? How'd you do it? How long did it take?

My daughters a week old and during my pregnancy I gained 50lbs. I've lost 17, so 33lbs to go. I'm wondering how other people sucessfully lost their baby weight, how long I took, and how much they had to loose. Also are you happy with your post-baby body?

  • Really bad contraction, but they are far apart?

I'm having contractions that last about 90 seconds, but they are about 15 min apart. They feel like someones stabbing me in my lower back and cervex along with horrible cramping (feels like period and gas cramps combined). Is labor near? I also lost my mucus plug and had my bloody show last night and I've had diarea. Should I wait to call my dr till my contractions are closer together? And how long does it usually take for them to get closer together? I'm 41 weeks and so ready!

  • In-laws coming into town the day Im getting induced? Help?

Is it rude to tell them they can't be at the hospital constantly? We planned it thinking Id go by my due date, so they weren't supposed to be here while we were in the hospital. I'm getting induced Tuesday which just so happens is the day they fly in. I'm gonna want time alone with our baby, and I'm gonna need to rest. Is it rude to send them away a few hours a day to do those thing? They're only here for 4 days, but its my first few days with my daughter and I want it to be special for us too..

  • Personal induction stories please?!?

I'm being induced Tuesday. Id like to hear about other peoples experiences. Please don't say wait longer to be induced, or when the baby's ready she'll come. I just want to know other peoples experiences so I can know what to expect! Thanks :)

  • Would you rather... Be induced, or take castor oil to try and start your labor?

Im a little worried about taking castor oil again (I took it 2 weeks ago, and it sent me into labor, I started dilating, but my body wasn't completely ready so it stopped). I'm now almost 41 weeks and they are going to induce me on tuesday if I haven't gone by then. Im wondering if I should try it again, or just wait to be induced. Opinions/experiences please!

  • Do these sound like real contractions?

I called my dr but he hasn't called me back. I'm having tightening of my whole abdomen, the pain stretches down my legs and into my lower back. Feels like I need to poop. Also extreme pelvic pain/pressure. They are consistant, but I can breath/walk through them so I don't know if they are real or braxton hicks. Feel like horrible period cramps.

  • Can the "baby blues" start before you have your baby?

I'm feeling increasingly depressed and moody. I know some of it has to do with how horrible I feel (over 40 weeks pregnant), but it feels like something else is wrong... Like a hormonal imbalance or something?

  • Anyone really moody before they went into labor?

I'm 40w2d pregnant and my hormones have been pretty level for most of my pregnancy. All of a sudden today I'm mad about everything. Right now I'm mad and don't even know why. Do your hormones go crazy before you go into labor? Or am I just moody for no reason? I know no one can tell me if I'm going into labor but just thought id see if any felt like this right before labor?

  • How does bankruptcy work?

My fiancè is planning on consulting a professional, but I like to be prepared in advance. My fiancè is getting sued for 250,000$, and money is already extremely tight with us. With those payments we won't be able to afford a place to live, or even food. He's considering filing for bankruptcy if she wins, and I'm just wondering how exactly it works. How long does it ruin your credit for? Do you have to pay for any of it, or does it just go away? Once we get married will it affect my credit at all that he had declaired bankruptcy? Any advice on the matter is very appreciated! Thanks.
