  • Can we prosecute the DNC and RNC under the RICO act?

Something must be done about both the Republicans and Democrats:

    - Choking the wealth, talent, and potential of this country in order to remain in power.

    - Playing economic, religion, race, and gender cards to have us fight against each other instead of them.

    - Refusing to be representative of the wishes of the people, in order to keep their own power within the party.

    - Pushing agendas that are contrary to the general welfare of the people.

  • Are people asking objective/non-advice questions on Yahoo that ignorant?

The questions that could be answered by a simple Google or Wiki search just irritate me! Have we let loose an entire generation of idiots onto the 'net that can't search for an answer themselves? And what does this bode for humanity?

Remember, ignorance is curable. Willful ignorance is just stupid.

  • Will recent pirate activity increase the amount of US/UK flagged vessels?

Shippers are finding out that sailing in the Middle East under a weak gov't flag invites piracy. Will it be cheaper for ship owners to pay for a US or UK flag and know that a country capable of seaborne power projection will protect their merchant fleet?

(The birth of the modern US Navy came as a direct result of piracy).

  • How much time do I have before I am in a camp?

This question will, in four years, either prove me prophetic or a crackpot. I've seen the video out of Philly with the Black Panthers blocking access to voting facilities, I've seen the video of little kids spouting off rote memorization of "Obama policies" (and the disturbing comparison to the NASI party), I've seen the newsclips of people so naive to vote for Obama thinking the federal gov't will fill their gas tank and pay their mortgage...

For speaking against those things, how long is it until the 1st Amendment is revised to not include people that think independently of the herd?

  • Help me understand this issue? (BSG viewers only please)?

I am in a vanpool which allows us to watch movies/series during our commute.

One of our members has decided that it is intolerable for him to watch Season 3 of Battlestar Galactica (the new one) because the "good guys" are polytheist and the "bad guys" are monotheistic. We tried to explain to him that it still sort of met the "logic" check because early civilizations were polytheistic, but to no avail... "The first people were monotheistic, Adam and Eve... says so in the Bible"..

It is truly hard for me to comprehend and I do not want to offend this man's faith, but I am unwilling to change my world view because of his inability to acknowledge cold, hard facts about humans....

The man is a smart, intelligent, and educated person, but this just strikes such a chord to think he takes this literally. What drives people to take a 2,000+ year old text of parables, fables, and lessons (and maybe some actual history) and apply them literally across the board?

  • Does anyone know how I can get a copy of MIL-STD-40051?

I want to compare the standards that I have developed for my company with the new IETM standards for the military.
