I am a nursing student...going for my LPN..then I will do a bridge program into the RN. I am just starting my semester where I start my clinicals and such and I have realized there is no WAY I will be able to work my full time job and complete all the work required of me as a full time student as well. I don't get any pell or anything..I live in GA so my tuition is paid for by the HOPE but that ONLY covers tuition and that is it. I did not want to take out a loan..I just have to pay it back! But...the more I think about it..I have one year until I have my LPN...calculating my bills it takes about 12K a year to support me...I think I could only get like 9 or 10 as a first time student loan..but that takes care of MOST of my bills. So..I was thinking of taking out a loan and basically not working...maybe just on the weekends or something to cover the extra cost of living. Does anyone here know how loans and stuff work and if that would be a good idea for me to look into. There are so many hours required at school and at home for the skills and someones life will be in my hands..I HAVE TO KNOW THIS STUFF...INSIDE AND OUT! So yeah...any help or advice or reassurement or something is appreciated! Thanks!

Ok...had my period on time last month..about 2 weeks after that Fiance and I were in the middle of sex when I started bleeding...it wasn't rough or anything so I don't know why I bled...I've never done that...it was BRIGHT red like period blood...after that I spotted light pinkish for like 2 or 3 days...two weeks later I am now spotting again only this time its brownish color (which means old blood). I'm guessing it has to do with the other bleeding...but I don't know whats going on...I don't think I'm pregnant..I have no symptoms...other than the spotting. Anyone had anything like this happen...any advice or ideas will be greatly appreciated. I should be starting my period in about a week from now. Thanks!

okay, this is weird to talk about but...

At age 5 I was raped.

I have been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years, I have been intimate with him countless times and he was not my "first". I don't know when it started but I keep having flashbacks to when I was 5. Not just during sex...all the time. I can't sleep with my boyfriend anymore..I just am not interested because of these scenes that pop into my head. I feel really bad but I cannot help it. He's a young guy so obviously he wants the affection hes used to getting from me but I am not ever in the mood to be affectionate. This is a real psychological problem here. I am at a loss as to why this is happening, why now! What can I do? Is this normal?

The class is Theater Appreciation. My assignment is to "be interesting" in front of the class. Please help, I don't even understand that really!!! All he said is that "we have to be interesting, we cannot use foul language, sexual references or tell a story about how we got drunk...you get the idea"

Hi, I'm a 21 year old college student..I took two semesters of college when I turned 18 and dropped 4 of the 8 classes I took due to sickness. I lost my scholarship and have since been saving $$ to pay to go back. I went back part time last semester, took 1 class made an A and was estatic! I am enrolled full time next semester. Composition2, US History, Elementary Statistics, and Theater Appreciation. My major is Early Childhood Edu. I paid my tuition fees last week and have been doing alot of thinking. I'm going to have to pay a LOT to get myself through school. I want to teach kids..or at least I thought so..and now I have all these doubts like what if I'm not good at it. What if the school here wont hire me..or they just dont need anyone. I've still got almost all of 4 years to get the BA degree. I am so worried I will spend all this money and time and be the worst teacher. I'm smart and I love kids...they love me. That doesnt mean I'd be good teaching them. For all you teachers...

I really am in love with my boyfriend we've been together almost 2 years..I couldn't imagine life without him in it..he is so sweet to me and he tries to be so romantic..i like it..when im in the mood..but thats rarely im on the shot and i think thats got a lot to do with it..anyways we're planning marriage but not til i get outta school (smart) but it might take me forever and i dont want to wait that long! financially we couldnt do it right now and i know that..but gosh its hard to know that i might be 30 before i can afford marriage..i dont want to have kids that old. he keeps saying how hes saving everything for us..and he is he just bought us some land it'll take 2 yrs for payoff..not bad but im only a freshman in college (at 21) and im paying every dime outta pocket so im not saving anything. he feels like hes doing it all alone and i feel so bad. i want to help i want to be married but i have to have my school..what if i cant even get through school then what? anyone got advice?

I've been on the depo shot for 5 months now, I know it makes you not ovulate or its supposed to, I haven't had a period since I got on it so I assume I'm not ovulating. I feel embarrassed but my boyfriend of nearly 2 years didn't pull out, hes never done that before and I'm just kinda weirded out ya know, whats the probability of me getting pregnant, I keep saying none because I haven't had a period..but is that true? We can't afford to be pregnant. Any advice, besides to tell him not to do that ever again until we plan to have a baby?

okay, i have a complicated parent situation, my parents are divorced, mother is remarried but neither support me financially. i am only 20, so by fafsa i have to have my parents income information. i filled out the fafsa using my mom and stepfathers income and their efc is like 8500 which means i will not get any grants. if anyone were to help me with my school it would have been my dad, but the company for which hes worked since age 18 is in the process of closing down...the only reason hes still there is to clean out the building...so he has no job. can someone give me some advice besides going "student loans" because thats all the lady at the financial aid office of my college knows how to say...she doesnt even let me get through talking and goes "student loans, student loans....student loans" while im trying to ask!!!

my boyfriend and i have been together for 16 months we both want to get married, to each other. we talk about it often. he asks me all sorts of weird questions like about land and houses and kids...we've looked at rings...the whole nine yards about our future together. he keeps saying he wants me to get outta college first, but then the other night he popped up and said he'd been thinking about marriage a lot that day while he was at work. i asked why? (because he'd already told me it would basically be 5 years since that is how long it will take to get my degree.) then he just dropped the subject...i don't understand him....hes going from wanting to, to wanting to wait it seems like and it is very frustrating. why wont he just ask me? you can be engaged for years before marriage....you don't have to do it right away.

has anyone ever had a job in car sales? i had an interview for one yesterday and it went great, im kinda excited because i think it would be fun. im just not so sure about all that straight commission work...has anyone ever worked off straight commission here??

My boyfriend and I have been together going on 9 months. Both of us want to get married but are scared for the usual reasons and we know that we arent exactly stable. I have just come into some medical issues and now have a ton of bills coming from all over. I took on a second job to help. The boss at my second job agreed that I could have the days off whenever my boyfriend was off since he works a 6-on/3-off schedule. Now its not happening. My boyfriend is somewhat upset because I promised him that I'd be off when he was and his job is really stressful (hes a correctional officer at a max. security prison) and he needs me to be there for him and I can't. He's even offered to pay my bills and stuff but I can't let him do that. It makes me feel inadequate...like I can't do for myself. Is that normal? If we were married my bills and his would be ours...but we aren't and I don't want to depend on him...not yet anyways. Does anyone have any advice or anything?

if so, how painful was it for you and how long did the pain last...how did you deal with it? i dont know how long i can stand this....

on sunday i had really bad pains in my abdomen (about where my ovaries and uterus are) and it went away for the most part...i started taking birth control pills on monday and since monday ive been somewhat nauseas. today ive had the pain in my abdomen again and its been killing me ive been crying. i started to bleed a little about 2 hours ago, not heavy-really really light-see through pink. i havent taken a pregnancy test, my mom says i may be having a miscarriage...i know i need to go to the doctor but they are all closed....anyone got any kind of advice?
