Why are some deaths more important than others?
In 2001, nearly 3000 deaths in USA triggered a war and mass mourning that continues to this day.
In 2019, 15,000 deaths (other than suicides) in USA from gunshots, anx no action is takenbod deemed necessary.
In 2020, 1000 deaths a day in USA, due to a pandemic, is labelled as 'fake news' and ignored.
Why are some deaths so much more important than others?
1 AnswerMedia & Journalism8 months agoWondering how many are supporting the push this month to raise awareness of men's health issues including prostate and testicular cancer.?
During October there were many querying the publicity given to breast cancer.
1 AnswerCancer5 years agoWondering if "health anxiety" is a type of cancer.?
I always thought it was a mental health issue but there seem to be more questions in the cancer section regarding "health anxiety" than anything else lately.
Do these people need to get a hobby? Or just walk away from their computer?
7 AnswersCancer5 years agoAre the youth of today just ignorant about health matters or why else do they seem to assume that every little ache is cancer.?
Do they really not understand how uncommon it is in people under the age of 50?
Do we need to educate them better or just remove all medical information from the internet?
13 AnswersCancer6 years agoWould it be possible for a section to be created for people to ask recommendations on tobacco products/smoking etc?
Currently these questions seem to default to the cancer section where they are certainly inappropriate and borderline offensive.
Those asking also have a tendency to get hostie when told to just not smoke or that it is bad for them. Yet this is the most likely answer to expect in a cancer forum.
3 AnswersYahoo Answers6 years agoWhat is with the "hidden answer"?
The ones I have seen are often good answers with several thumbs up.
How are they becoming hidden and why??
3 AnswersYahoo Answers7 years agoAre you aware there is a group of spambots spamming the cancer section with a fake cure?
Querceptin and vitamin C is not a cancer cure.
Querceptin is a flavinoid that has shown to have some beneficial effects but can cause kidney problems if taken in large quantities.
Is there any proof offered that this quackery works, other than a referral to a spam site selling the product?
7 AnswersCancer8 years agoCancer fundraising idea?
On the ninth anniversary of my surgery for breast cancer my daughter is planning to get tattoos.
Dots to match the ones I had applied for my radiotherapy alignment.
She is planning to get people to sponsor her and will donate the money raised to my favorite cancer research and favorite cancer support charities.
Just wondering what other people think of her idea.
I think she is awesome!
5 AnswersCancer8 years agoIs it bad that I feel being blocked by a certain asker in the cancer section makes me feel they....?
....cannot repudiate my arguments when I answer their questions?
Anyone capable of critical thinking should be able to repudiate another persons inaccurate arguments
11 AnswersCancer9 years agoWere you worried about Chad (CCM)?
I have just heard that he is now on hospice care with his pain being managed and on a feeding tube.
Just an update for anyone who has noticed his absence on this forum.
3 AnswersCancer9 years agoWhy would someone asking questions regarding breast cancer block all the top answerers in the cancer section?
Particularly those who have been through breast cancer?
Is it because they have their own weird agenada or are they just scared of contrary opinions?
4 AnswersCancer9 years agoIs anyone else happy and excited to see that Spree is well enough to be back posting in this forum?
Can anyone else be as happy as me to see him well again?
(note the care to keep this a question!)
