  • Why do you have to confirm your choice when deleting Yahoo spam mail but not the inbox mail?

When you delete messages from your inbox it does so without question, but if you remove any messages from the spam folder, you have to confirm their deletion. Why is this?

  • Help Please.. Need to know how to create a dynamic array in Access 2003?

I'm trying to create an array from a query in MS Access 2003. The array will be used to display statistical data for 12 months (periods) and will consist of 4 main elements: PeriodID, PeriodEnd_date, Total_qty and Total_Value.

The query will summarise the required data, based on user input (starting Period), but this does not always produce 12 rows of data as some periods have no records. What I want to do is perform a data check as it creates the array, and populate the QTY and value fields with zeros where there is a period within the specified range with no records. The desired end result is an array that will contain exactly 12 records. I know it must be possible, but for the life of me I can't figure it out.

Is there anyone out there who can provide maybe an example in VBA that could work for me?

    Thanks.

  • Are people happy with my answers?

For a number of weeks now I've been popping my head in Yahoo Answers to see if I can help some folks with what knowledge I have.

I don't claim to be an expert by any meaning of the word, but I do have experience and knowledge spanning right back to the 80's when I got my first computer (Commodore Vic-20 - keep the laughs to a dull roar!) My hobby has turned into a career in recent years and since then I've never looked back.

I can answer most questions relating to hardware/software configuration and have extensive knowledge of Windows (all versions) and some linux/unix. I hold an HND in Computing and HNC in Microcomputer servicing and support. I'm also A+ certified.

People... although I've only answered a handful of questions, please let me know what you think of my answers. I'm curious to see if they have helped more than just the person who asked.

Thanks and best regards to everyone.

  • How do I fix a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) after installing IDE driver in Windows 2000?

The problem has happened to me a number of times in the past with various systems. This particular problem happened on a Dell Optiplex GX150 after I noticed I couldn't use my CD Rom in Windows 2000. I saw there was only a single channel IDE controller in the device manager so went to Dell website and got the list of drivers specific to my computer, using the system tag number on the PC. This showed the Ultra ATA controller driver as the one I needed so I downloaded and installed as instructed. On the reboot the computer made a nice BSOD with "Inaccessible Boot Device" as the error.

I'm hoping there is a way to rectify this without rebuilding the system from scratch. Does anyone know of an offline registry editor I can use to manually remove any reference to the device. I know my way round the registry so no prob there!

This will resolve the BSOD I'm sure of it!
