OMG yay!

Occasionally I hear about multiple car pileups involving 30+ cars. In cases of near zero visibility this makes sense, a car ahead of you could be stalled/stopped/disabled etc... but even if you're going 5mph you can't see it and crash.

But in other cases caused by distracted driving or whatever else, this doesn't make sense. Unless you're tailgating and/or going faster than the traffic conditions call for there is no reason for a car to rear-end into another car times 30.

News reports always give the cause for the first crash, but they never say why the other 29 cars were unable to stop quickly enough. They never say what I suspect to be the truth, that the car pile up was actually caused by mass stupidity where people think it's okay to drive above the speed limit and tailgate.

I have an Acer Aspire 7551g. So today I finally gave windows permission to install the newest updates. After the restart, however, I did not have any wireless access. I restored the computer to the pre-update restoration point but my wireless is still not working. The network center won't pick up any of the nearby networks.

I looked at the list of devices installed and there is an internet adapter for wired ethernet connection, but the wireless card is missing. I've tried installing drivers from the Acer website and from CNET, and in both cases I get a message saying that I need to install the wireless card before the drivers can be fully installed. Problem is the wireless adapter is internal and I have never taken it out of this laptop.

I know there's nothing wrong with the router or the particular network I want to connect to because I'm using it right now with my other laptop. Help! D:

I was watching this show and I noticed something very strange, none of the chefs/cooks ever wears gloves. Not only do they touch the food with their bare hands, they will taste something (Gordon especially) , scratch their face and/or touch an unclean object and not wash their hands before beginning to cook again.

I'm no expert or anything, but isn't this a health violation?

Sometimes in the mornings I see a large group of (assumed) illegal immigrants on a corner somewhere who get picked up by a large van. I guess it's safe to say that these people were picked up by an interested employer who will hired them for the day.

Now I'm really desperate for a job this summer and I was wondering exactly what kinds of jobs are these people doing? I'm extremely tempted to wait on the corner with them so I could make some much needed money.

There's this guy (I think, I don't know much about this person) raises/breeds Pit bulls. He's a terrible owner I probably uses them for dog fights or to sell to drug lords. Anyways, some of the dogs either escape or are let out onto the streets. These dogs are violent and are almost always uncollared. Several people have actually been attacked by these dogs (including my friend). But for some reason the cops don't do anything about it. No one has been able to go to court after being attacked, the owner hasn't been arrested and his dogs haven't ben taken away. Why is this?

Should I exchange my dollars into pounds now? Or wait like 2 weeks and see if the exchange rate is better?

That whole fiasco with Israel and the boats heading towards Gaza...

and all Obama has to say on the matter is ooooh the loss of life is bad and I feel sad.

Anyone else feel frustrated by his inability to grow a backbone, step on a few toes and say how he really feels about the matter (like a real president would)? What he really should have said was Israel handled the badly or Israel was completely justified in their actions, just something to take a non-neutral stance on the matter.

(By the way, I'm not saying this from a Republican or Democratic POV)
