I have a 3-in-1 question on Anti-Virus?
I have been using Norton Anti Virus, for years. Recently, after my usual weekly scan. the result showed that I have a cookie which was fixed.
Minutes later, I found "Spyware Doctor" while surfing. After reading the sales info., I downloaded the trial version which immediately did another scan on my computer. At the end of which it displayed the shocking result of "4 threats & 49 infections"
3 groups of infections were classified as "low threats". There are: Application tracking cookies (27), Adware.Advertising (15) Spyware.Known_Bad_Site (1).
The last group was listed as "Info & PUA threat",
Adware.Zango_Search_Assistant.
Only then, did I realised that the "trial" did not provide for fixing the threats found --- I was exhorted to "subscribe" to their program.
I sent a feedback of the incident to Norton AntiVirus & asked for advice since those "threats" were not picked up by their program. Two weeks passed & I received no word from Norton AntiVirus. To say the least, this is a great disappointment, as I expect a solution & advice for the "infections".
Meanwhile, my computer slowed down significantly!!
My Norton AntiVirus is expiring in 2 weeks. Since Norton Antivirus do not even acknowledge my feedback, I am decided to change a service provider for my Anti Virus protection.
Question
1) I suspect "Spyware Doc" causes my computer to slow down & delected it but to no avail. What am I to do?
2) What does "Info &PUAs" mean
3) Which Anti Virus protects our computers well while giving good support to customers?
Thank you folks.
