I am a "typical human being", I think about intention, action and outcome.
If one is a sure thing for a position is one a shoe-in or a shew-in? ?
There was an AP story about a nefarious Florida congressman who was expected to be re-elected but owing to an indiscretion, he was no longer a "shoe-in" (sic.)
It is a rather archaic usage and is not well documented in modern text.
What say you then?

It seems that historically dislocations in economic culture spark either collapse and decline or expansion and renewal. I see, from a historical perspective, that we are at such a crossroad.

I have used it for two years with no problems. The last time I updated, it started having problems with the Windows (XP) loader. I returned to the previous edition and the WinXP problems followed. I have all the XP updates. The system is clean and I have better than 50% free space.
