Advice to be an "effective" human being? I feel as though I am "blessed" in so many ways and yet it's not "enough" for my "satisfaction".?
Advice to be an "effective" human being :P... ???
Balance
I feel as though I am "blessed" in so many ways and yet it's not "enough" for my "satisfaction in life"... primarily, I am lacking in communication skills with other people. For whatever reason, I have become somewhat socially anxious and reserved even though others with less manage to be more effective and perhaps happier...
I consider myself to be more empathetic than the average person and have been commended for good traits my whole life. With my non-alpha personality however, I have probably benefited from being a large male preserving me from "bullying" that might have occurred otherwise....i.e. I'm "different" - would love to fix my communication flaws, although at the same time I am learning not to let outsiders govern my emotional state of mind.
2 AnswersPsychology4 years agoIs it a mainstream belief among Indian academics that Jews (descendants of ancient Hebrews) really came from Indian Brahmans?
I've seen theories and hypotheses as such, but I am wondering if these are just fringe more conspiracy style beliefs. The only evidence I have seen (I do not consider word cognates to be a particularly compelling argument), is ancient/classical Greek accounts (all of which may actually come from the same original source text) that describe the Jews in Israel briefly which calls them "Kalani" - which is translated as Indian.
Not interested in any other commentary or antisemitic conspiracy here. The Khazar myth has been thoroughly debunked from genetics, linguistics, culturally, religion and from numerous extant historical accounts.

Pick 2 of them
I already have McCoy as RB1
1 AnswerFantasy Sports8 years agoWeek 10 - Pick 2: Andre Ellington v. Hou, Zac Stacy v. Ind, or Mike James v. Mia?
Got a real tough matchup this week. McCoy ( v. Green Bay) is my RB1, so I'm just looking to fill RB2 and Flex.
Thx
1 AnswerFantasy Sports8 years agoStart Vick vs the Chiefs @PHI or Russell Wilson home vs JAX ?
I guess the question is really:
Do the Seahawks just run the ball all day vs JAX bc they can or do they unleash Wilson
4 AnswersFantasy Sports8 years agoCan all mathematical sums be derived from multiple antecedents?
ex.) the sum is 4
3+1, 2+2, 4+0, 5-1, (i^0)4 are all possible antecedents of 4, or alternatively; 4 can be a derivative of the above terms.
Are there exceptions to this logic?
2 AnswersMathematics8 years agoWhy do Christians and scholars continue to perform exegesis of the Torah based off of translations?
The Hebrew Canon was written in Hebrew (a few passages in Aramaic) and subsequently translated hundreds of years later. Translations are always imperfect because of unique cultural connotations. Additionally, Hebrew is a multi-dimensional language - I..e. numerical values etc. Why would supposedly scholarly people continue to base their teachings and exegesis based off of imperfect translations?
