  • Can a cockatoo and a cockatiel live in the same cage?

I am part of a rescue and am thinking of getting a cockatoo, either a goffin or a citron crested. I was wondering if either of those could be in the same cage as a cockatiel. If they can't it's not a problem, I just would like to know.

  • How to convince my dad to let me get an african grey?

I want to get an african grey because my budgie just died and I want a bigger bird. I have looked into it a lot, and I have convinced my mom (who said that if there ever were a problem and I couldnt take care of the bird for a bit she could). I just started home schooling so I have a bunch of time with nothing to do. I have everything set, but my dad. He doesn't want more animals in the house (we I I have two cats, a budgie, and a cockatiel). I was just wondering about a way to try and get my dad to agree. I have asked him and he just flat out said no. I wrote an essay, and he said it was a quality essay, but Im not getting a bird. Anyway I really want this bird, and I would like a way of getting my dad to say yes. Thank you!

  • Found Baby Robin! NEED HELP?

Yesterday I found a baby robin that had fallen from its nest. The parents weren't around so I took it in my house and put it in a cage and fed it some worms and a bit of hard boiled egg yolk. The bird still has some fluff on it. I tried calling the rescue near me and they told me about fledglings. I tried putting it back where I found it in my yard and the parents saw it but havent been feeding it. Its been out there for about six hours and it hasnt been fed. I brought it back in and fed it some more egg and some water and now its sleeping. Its parents wont help it, the rescue wont take it, and I dont want to see it die if I know I can help. So PLEASE help me and tell me what I should do.

    What should I feed it?

How much should I feed it?

How much water should I give it?

How long before I can let it go?

    What should I do????????

    Thanks!

  • What cage should I get for my grey?

Im going to be getting an african grey and was wondering what cage would be good. I have researched it but just wanted another opinion. I found a corner cage that would work as well as a bunch of square ones. Which is another question. Would a corner cage be better of a square one?

  • African Grey Adoption?

I want to know if I have enough experience with birds to rescue an African grey rather than getting one from a breeder or pet shop. I have done TONS of reseach and pretty much made myself a guide to taking care of them. I have had multiple budgies (two of which had babies in there food dish because we were given the wrong gender....but Im kinda happy it happened) and a cockatiel. I REALLY want to rescue one, and I have my heart set on an African grey..... Please and Thank you!

  • Are African Greys a good pet?

Is an african grey a good pet?I have done TONS of research on african greys and think that they would work very well with me, and the house that I am in. There is lot's going on all the time and people would always be there. I will have Lot of time to let it fly, and I know that in my future this bird could stay and be a happy family member. So I just wanted an inside view, are they good pets?

  • Adopting An African Grey?

I want to adopt a african grey, and wanted an inside opinion on what its like, and what I need to keep in mind before I get it. I have had a couple budgies before, and my brother has a cockatiel, I was wondering how much bigger it would than a cockatiel.

I want to get it from a rescue becuase I have seen way to many birds given to rescues. I was wondering if that is a good thing to do, or if it wouldnt be a good idea for my first bigger bird. Any info you ca give me would be helpful. Thanks!

  • How can I convince my parents to let my get a violin?

I REALLY want to play the violin but my dads acting all stupid. I have played piano for 4 years and never quit, and even told him I would pay for the violin. He keeps making up these stupid reasons for why I can't get one like " It costs to much" but I will pay for it, or " I need to talk to your mom about it, but I can't because I want to go on a bike ride" so he hasn't talked to my mom. I don't know why he's acting all dumb. If you could tell me some way to convince him that I should be able to get a violin that would be great. Thanks!
