Need help getting the paper off the back of an iron transfer.
am trying to create a shirt for my son using an iron transfer. I put the iron on the paper, waited for it to cool, and now I'm trying to get it off. Some of the paper has come off but most of it is stuck to the shirt. Are there any tips I can use to get the paper off? Thanks!!
1 AnswerCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoIs anyone familiar with Toys R Us return policy? Want to boycott them with me???
I find this quit interesting and a bit disterbing.... I went to Toys R Us today to return an item my dad bought for my son. We purchesed it full price a few weeks ago and I got the gift receipt since I know Toys R Us will NOT do ANY return without one. The item we bought doesn't work for what we wanted to use it for so I took them item today to return it and they gave me a gift card for less than what we paid for it!!! I talked to a manager about the difference in price and she said it was because the gift receipt did not show what we paid for it so they give you the lowest price!!! What a RIP OFF!!!! What good is a gift receipt then?? How much money is that company making off of gift returns? An item is bought for full price and then returned it for lowest sale price. I find this very unfair and unjust!! Does anyone else find this disturbing?
14 AnswersParenting1 decade agoWhat's the "easiest" way to fly with a baby? What do you bring???
I will be flying with my baby when he is about a month or so old (depending on when he is born). I have read that one should wait 3 months for the immune system but have also read that it is safe after 7-14 days. I'll talk to his doctor about this one.
My question is what do I bring? I will need his carseat for auto travel while we are there. Do you just back the base in your luggage? I think bases are different so I think I'll have to bring mine, right? What about the pack n play? Do you check that on the plane as luggage? Has anyone had any experience with this? If you don't bring one where is it best for baby to sleep? There is SO much to think about and I'm not sure what the answers are.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Thanks!!!!

8 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoAny good creams/ lotions for stretch mark prevention?
I've heard that the lotions are a myth but I'm 7 months along and have notice my first stretch mark. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good cream out there to prevent or minimize the amount of marks left. Thanks!!!!
12 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoWould you still be in the wedding if......?
My brother is getting married 3 weeks after my baby is due.He is getting married in a strange town where we don't know anyone. They said no kids under 18 were allowed. I express my concern about leaving a new baby w/a stranger and I didn't feel I would want to go to the wedding if my baby could not come. During that same conversation the fiance said she wanted us there and me in the wedding.
Skip ahead a month and I haven't gotten a call from them only emails asking me my dress size. So I sent them a friendly email saying my husband and I would like to speak w/them, not only about the baby issue but they have not talked to us in months and she blames me for things I haven't even done, before we commit to being in the wedding & paying $1000.
I just got an email from her saying they do not want the baby there and I should leave it with a sitter because they are paying $600 for a video. Is that the cost of family? I don't want to be in the wedding. But want to watch. Advice pls
37 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoDid you keep your belly button ring while pregnant?
I got a belly button ring when I was in college. I've had it at least 7 years. I was going to just keep it in but now I wonder if I should take it out. Honestly, I don't even think about it but every time my mom sees my belly she asks "when are you going to take that thing out." I think I keep it in just because she says something.
Does anyone have any experience with this? If I take it out now at 26 weeks will it close up or am I too streched out? If I leave it in will it just stretch and be gross?
24 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoTo move or not to move while pregnant. What would you do??
I am 26 weeks pregnant and have had no complications. My husband travels and I am alone a lot and we just moved to this area about 8 months ago so I don't really know a lot of people. 1 month after buying our house if flooded because of high amounts of rainfall. I just cannot seem to bounce back from all of this.
We've decided that we do need to move. We want to move to where we have family and friends so I'm not so alone and so our baby will be showered with love. We are just now in the process of having our house worked on and put back together. The plan was to move after the baby was born but that means staying here another 6 months. Should I just quit my job and leave now and get settled in or move with a 2-3 month old baby????
Oh, here's the kicker. I have family in Arkansas as well as Ontario Canada. So the move could possible be to Canada.
What would you do???
Please not hateful comments bashing Arkansas or Canada or anything else. This is hard enough as it is.

3 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoHow do I get 2 spoiled Yorkies ready for a newborn baby????
I have 2 Yorkies, 13 and 7.5. I've had the 13 year old since he was a puppy so he is a momma's boy and I've had the other for about 4 years he was rescued from the pound. They are good around children most of the time but the old one is unpredictiable around kids especially if the kids cry. The other one has separation anxiety which shouldn't be a problem since I'll be home more. They are use to sleeping in the bed and claiming me on the couch. They need to learn to share my lap and to tolerate crying. Anyone have any suggestions or have tried things that work? Anything would be greatly appreciated!!!

6 AnswersOther - Games & Recreation1 decade agoI'm 25 weeks pregnant, when do I have to give up getting massages?
I have heard so many different things about massages and when you are suppose to stop and I'm wondering if anyone knows the TRUTH. I also heard I had to give up getting my feet rubbed. Anyone know about that? I just had a prenatal massage and I was put on a bed that had a hole cut out for my belly and it worked great. I can't imagine that being a problem.
14 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoHow much massage time do you ACTUALLY get for an hour massage???
The past few 1 hour massages I have gotten I have only received about 40-45 minutes of actual massage time. This is very frustrating because massages are not cheap. Was I spoiled before by my thearpist that actually massaged for a whole hour or are thearpist getting lazy because they know once people are relaxed they won't say anything? Does anyone know the protocol?

My husband is American and I am duel. We are having a baby in June and we would like to move to Canada in September to live wtih my family. My husband's job requires that he travel internationally 20+ days a month so he would only be in Canada for short bouts. 3 AnswersOther - Canada1 decade agoWe are having our first child and thought about having an Au Pair instead of daycare. Any advice??
My husband travels and I work. I don't want to work for more than a year after having the baby but during that time I do not want to put a little one in daycare. We are trying to think of our options and one thing I came up with was an Au Pair. I've looked at a couple of websites and see varying prices. Does anyone know what is typically charged? A good organization to work with? Any other pointers or advice would be great!!!

19 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoMy brother is getting married approx. 3 weeks after I have a baby and he is saying no kids allowed....?
My brother is getting married about 3 weeks after I have a baby. He and his fiance are saying no kids under 18 are allowed to come because they are having the wedding filmed. It is in a different town than where we are from so we have to stay in a hotel. They want me to leave the newborn baby with a unfamiliar babysiter. Are we being unreasonable when we say we will not come unless we can bring the baby? We have said we will do everything in our power to prevent the baby from crying and my husband will leave the church if he starts to cry. What else can we do? This isn't just any baby this is my brother's first nephew and a big part of me. This is tearing me apart and I want to make a smart decision.
