What risks are there of having a bladder scoped?
I have been having occasional incontinence, and recently saw a urologist. He set me up to have a scope procedure to look at my bladder, and didn't tell me anything, other than to show me how large the camera would be. My regular doctor was quite surprised that I was going to be scoped, and asked me if the urologist had warned me of the risks of the procedure, which he did not. (I'm 40 and female, if that matters.)
Have you had your bladder scoped? Did you have any bad side effects from it, like making incontinence worse? What are the risks of having the procedure done?
I'd rather not have it done if it makes worse something that's not bad anyway.
Thanks.
