  • 2nd Time C-Section Experiences?

I recently heard from friend that subsequent c-sections had more pain associated with them and more difficult recovery time. My first c-section went very well and I was up and around in no time. Just curious what others' experiences with multiple c-sections were, as I am about to have my second and am not sure what to expect.

  • Fundal Height Measurements?

When I was at my doctor on Monday, she said I was measuring 24 weeks although I am only 23 1/2. She said that was nothing to worry about, but I was curious as to what the actual measurements are for each week. Does anyone what these are or where I could find what they are supposed to be?

  • Advent Tempo vs Advent Tempo Naturally Bottles?

I am planning on breastfeeding, and everything I read suggests Advent Tempo bottles for pumping purposes. However, when my husband and I went to Babies R Us today to purchase them, there were two kinds- Advent Tempo and Advent Tempo Naturally. None of the sales people could tell us the difference and I was hoping someone here might know. I tried to find out info online as well, but had no luck. Any insight at all would be greatly appreciated!

  • Teaching your baby Sign Language?

Does anyone have any personal experience with teaching sign language to their child as another form of communication? My sister-in-law, who is a teacher and has 2 children, swears by it. She says it makes children less frustrated because they can communicate in different ways. But both of her kids didn't actually speak until very late, so I am conflicted. They offer a class by our home starting next month and my husband and I were wondering if we should look into it. Any thoughts?

It almost feels like when you down shift in a manual a little prematurely and it jumps when switching gears. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it? Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  • Should I attend?

Here is the situation- last September my husband and I got married (I'm 26), and both of his sisters were bridesmaids in the wedding. His older sister in particular has always been very rude to me (she is much older than us and was bitter that we got married before her) but I included her out of respect for my husband. Now, she is getting married and has chosen to exclude me from it (my husband will be a groomsman). When he spoke to his sister about it, she said that I am not a part of the family, so she shouldn't have to include me. Although we have never been close, this comment hurt me very much. I have mixed feelings now about whether I should even attend or not. I feel like if i go, its like just rolling over and taking it. I hate not standing up for myself, and am very stubborn. However, this is my husbands family, and I don't want to escalate the situation and put him in the middle. What would you do? Thank you!!

  • Best Halloween Costume you've ever seen?

I was at bar where they were having a costume contest and one guy dressed in all white and turned a white box on its side (so the open end was facing forward) and cut a hole for his head to go inside it. Then he placed a sign on it that said "Free Mammograms, place breast here." It was hilarious and he won 500 bucks. What is the best costume you've seen?

  • Chances of having twins?

I just found out that i am pregnant with twins. They do not run in either mine, or my husbands family at all. We took no fertility measures either. Has anyone else had this happen? How different was being pregnant with twins from a single child pregnancy?

  • IRS email scam?

I have been recieving emails almost every day- the address is donotreply@irs.gov, saying that I am owed a tax refund. When i click on it, it asks for my bank account or debit account info and says the funds will be direct deposited. It does have legitimate links to the irs wesite, but it still seems shady to me. I am actually owed a refund (but its from the state of pennsylvania, where i was in school- i had to prove that PA wasnt my state of residency). So basically i was just wondering if anyone has recieved these emails and whether it was a scam or not. How can i found out?

  • Bathroom Remodel, Wallpaper Removal/New Paint Help?

We just bought a new home and i wanted to redo the upstairs bathroom, which had this awful fish wallpaper up. As i started to remove it, i found that there was another layer of floral wall paper underneath. As i was removing the second set of paper, I found that it had been placed directly over the drywall. My question is, what do i do now? How do i get the walls even (there are digs and scrapes all over from the tools i had to use to removed the wallpaper) so that I can paint it and make it look smooth? My husband thought we might have to putty up the whole room and then sand it down. Is this correct, or is there something else we can do? Thank you so much for your help!!
