  • did they forget how to make chow mein?

Chicken chow mein used to be a favorite of mine it contained celery , pork ,onions other ingredients and was very popular and good. Now when I get in in take out kitchens and restaurants It doesn't even resemble the way it used to be. Now you get a tasteless watery mass of what looks like boiled bok choy in some kind of thin sauce with some slices of de-flavored chicken. Did they forget how to make this? ,are do they not want to---- or what?

  • Australian Criminals?

Despite there pompous and rude attitude towards Americans. I have always admired the British people and and there ability to withstand adversity through there history . , In Briton the Australians are referred to as criminals and it is well known that the outcasts(criminals) of Briton were sent to Australia. The question is , where these people criminals are political outcasts. It seems to me that such a technically advanced and sophisticated country as Australia could not have been spawned buy a bunch of criminals.

  • how to accurately identify trees?

I took my girlfriend to the arboretum (actually she took me, I wasn't heading that way) but once we got there I have to admit it was cool. So many different kinds of trees, witch started me thinking about trees and how much I know about trees. Not much I know a Maple tree and a Christmas tree. Fascinated by this , I went on line and looked for ways to identify trees. I found a lot of sites on tree identification and after using them found that even a tree idiot like me knows that these results are very inaccurate. What is really required to accurate identify trees ?

  • Ancient Roman AK 47 reverse engineering?

I was arguing with friend of mine about the ability's of ancient civilizations, He is one of those who believe that for instance the Egyptians and Mayas could not have built there pyramids without some outside help. I believe that people were just as smart then as they are now and even though it seems impossible they found ways to do it. My question is If somehow the ancient romans came across an AK 47, could they make a working copy of it. I say that even though gun powder was still not invented and steel came mostly from meteorites, that the Romans would be clever enough to disassemble the gun and bullets and make what may be a heavy and crude but working gun.
