  • Marijuana is a Schedule 1 drug...So how is it legal in some states for medical use?

It is a federal offense to prescribe a Schedule 1 drug, and while I understand Obama has ordered the feds to not arrest doctors and patients who adhere to their state's laws, I'm just wondering how the states were able to override the DEA to begin with. I always thought when it came to drugs (legal or not), the federal government ruled all?

Please avoid starting a debate about whether it SHOULD be legal or not. I just want to know how the states got away with going against the federal government.

  • Anyone know of any Kosher protein bars?

I have a severe milk allergy, can't even handle trace amounts, and I rely heavily on Kosher and Vegan foods for my nutritional needs. I go to the gym in the morning, work out for about two hours, and I'm starving by the time I get out, but I can't get home to make lunch for another three hours or so. I could eat beforehand, but then I get kind of nauseous. Any suggestions of quick, healthy snacks packed with protein and carbs? Please don't mention Soy Joy...They do contain milk (and have landed me in the ER).

  • Do you ever see a question on the home page and just want to answer it without reading details?

For instance...I just saw one that said "Am I crazy...?". I just wanted to click it and say yes...

  • Need to break home lease in Michigan?

My husband is a Marine and we were transferred to Michigan. We found a house on the internet which was supposed to be four bedrooms with a possible fifth in a finished basement and signed a lease. Once we saw the house we realized we couldn't possibly fit our family of five here. The largest room was 10 by 7 and the basement was not finished! Within two hours and some careful discussion we called the landlord and indicated that it was not in our best interests to take this house. We even offered to let him keep our security deposit for holding the house until we got to the state! He of course argued, and now has a lawyer harrassing us for the full 12 months of rent. In the lease it specifically states that we had the right to inspect the premises before signing (but not by signing that we waived the right), and also that we be provided by a move in check list (for damages and such), which we weren't. So can we legally break it and not be responsible for all of this rent?
