  • I want to put a splashback up above my hob?

I was wondering, because i always thought that a glass splashback above my hob would be screwed on, but when ive just looked im now thinking it needs to be glued? So, I have white tiles currently and want to put up a clear glass splashback to keep my tiles clean next to my hob. Is it ok to glue it to tiles? Also i know you'd need clear adhesive but still, wouldnt you be able to see smears? Help please and thanks. x

  • painful period problems after sterilisation?

I was sterilised in Feb 2012 alongside a c section. Every month since then my period has got worse and worse - not heavy being the problem, its the pain! I have tried speaking to the doc and feel dismissed with 'thats how your periods would have been anyway'! My periods were painful before but nothing like this, last month i hurt from just below my fibs to pain shooting down my thighs and everything in between like a steel band all the way round me. I felt like everything was swollen and even hurt to sit down. I seriously felt so awful, i finished work and got into my car and cried, id been feeling dizzy and sick with the pain. My regular period was never anything as painful as this last one was and when i tried telling the doctor she dismissed me with the fact that id been taking the pill - although i tried to explain i hadnt taken the pill for well over a year and my periods had never been this painful. I feel like something is wrong inside me and am now dreading and i mean absolutely dreading my next period. Is this normal? because if it is i cant handle it. would they let me have a hysterectomy? I know some snooty person will say this isnt the place to ask, the thing is i want to know if this is normal, because when i go back to the docs and get told this is normal and i moan about it, im gonna feel silly.

  • have you been sterilised?

I have a question for anyone who has been sterilised . I was Sterilised after my last c section in february this year and have been having pain in the right side of my tummy for a couple days now, feels like ovary area (without meaning to sound daft) but im not sure if my period is due as ive not yet had a propper one sonce having the bleed after my daughter was born. Should my period be the same as it always was before i was sterilised or should i expect it to be heavier/lighter more or less painful... Just some advice from someone who has been there would be great. Many thanks xx

  • does anyone use the cloth nappies - not disposables?

Cloth nappies sounds a bit dippy but i cant think what their called. I have always used disposables but ive just been looking at the wrap nappies they look good and id like to give it a try but wanted some reviews before i go ahead. I always think they look massive though, do they fit newborns easily and are they Worth the money?

    Thanks xx

  • do you think they should teach sex ed earlier on?

Some of the adolescent questions on here make me wonder whats going on in the world where sex education is involved - or Not as the case seems to be..

"am i pregnant my boyfriend fingered me" "I had my knickers on but we rubbed together do you think im pregnant" ... these sorts of questions i see on here everyday, Im sure when i was younger i knew the basics, even as young as 11 or 12. I remember doing sex ed whilst in middle school, do they not teach it anymore because it seem like a lot of these kids NEED it!

Im not judging anyone here either, i just think surely before being old enough to engage in these sorts of activities, young teenagers should at least know the basics.. right??
