  • If you got your refund today (or are scheduled for today) what form did you file?

I am curious as to what kind of returns the new system handles. If you got or are scheduled to get your refund today, what form did you file and was it regular wages or self employment.

And I really don't want to hear from the annoying change your w-4 people either! I am self employed and can't change my w-4.

  • Has anyone efiled their NY tax return and been accepted?

I efiled my NY return on the 18th and its still not accepted. Does anyone know if they are accepting yet? I know they usually start after the federal, but I would have thought it would have been accepted by now(been 4 days)

  • IRS Refund Status- Who has gotten an update and what was it? If you got the 26th- Did your refund come today?

Trying to find out how accurate the WMR site is, although I am still not getting anything myself. I saw one person who said that they got the date of the 26th and refund came today!!(I am sooo jealous). So what I am asking is

    1. What program did you use for your taxes?

    2. What form did you file (1040EZ, 1040A, or 1040)

    3. What day did you file?

    4. What day were you accepted?

    5. Did you get a date from IRS Where's my refund site?

    6. If your date was the 26th, did you get it today?

I think with enough responses this will be informative to me and anyone else who is impatiently awaiting word of their refund.

  • Has anyone used Taxslayer's freefile program before?

I used taxslayer for the first time this year(I usually use turbotax). They are making me nervous!! None of my information updates until I email support. First none of my direct deposit info was showing, I emailed support and was told it was a "security feature" (yet my whole ss# was showing) and once it was accepted the forms with dd info would be available. My federal was supposed to be transmitted on the 15th, yet on the 18th still no acceptance so I emailed support again and was told to be patient and that the irs just started accepting on the 18th, but it says everywhere the 15th. About 10 minutes after the email it started showing as accepted, so I tried to go print the form with dd info like they told me I could. Their system told me it was unavailable. I emailed tech support again and was told forms would be available tomorrow, 10 minutes later the form was there and printable. It just seems like nothing happens until I email them then they fix the problem. Now I am still not getting any update on the irs site, which normally wouldn't worry me but taxslayer has got me wondering if they are legit. Questions I have are:

    1. Has anyone used taxslayer for freefile and got their refund or more info than I have?

    2. Have you heard anything (good or bad) about this site?

    3. Does anyone know how well (or if they do) the irs checks out the programs on their freefile list?

Any help, advice, or even just sympathy(lol), is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
