Can I put my maiden name on my child's birth certificate?
My husband apparently can't afford a divorce. We've been legally separated for almost 2years now. We tried for almost 5years to have a baby, so it was a shock when I found out I was pregnant. It's kind of funny, his little girlfriend is due 2 weeks after me. ha. But I can't seem to find anywhere whether or not I have to give my child my married last name, even though my husband is not the father. I'm pretty sure in the state of Georgia I'm not allowed to put the actual fathers name on the b/c because of my still being legally married, but I really don't want my child to have to have his last name. I'd ideally like my name to not reflect my marriage either, but since it's still my legal last name I don't think that'd be possible. Any insight? I'm due in November and the closer it gets, the more it's driving me nuts.

My husband and I are staying with his parents right now because he got laid off from work. I know that inlaws are always hard to deal with, but mine really take the cake. This morning my MIL jumped on me as soon as I woke up telling me that my FIL hates me because I am too argumentative and I jump in his face whenever he tries to talk. But keep in mind, this is a man who will argue that the sky is purple, and I always keep my cool. He even argues that my 2 male cats are girls because they don't have a visible penis on their underbellies like dogs do. She also keeps comparing me to my husbands brothers wife. Because she is oriental like my MIL and graceful and always keeps her distance like a good wife, etc. They even complain that I "make all the decisions" and need to "back off" and stop trying to wear the pants in my marriage. They are both driving me bonkers, how do I make them stop putting me down? How do I make peace without giving them control over my life? Please help!!
