  • Electrical plug plus switch in one box?

There were 2 white wires on left connected into the 2 silver screws and then a black and purple screwed into the 2 brass screws. Then out the back there was a purole and a black clipped into the slots on the back. My new plug only has the standard 4 screws with no back clips. Where and how do I connect these back 2 wires. Grounds were not mentioned I know where this goes. The switch was easy and already wired up now and working. My problem is these extra 2 wires in the plug outlet.

  • Cedar shavings and Ball Pythons?

I am breeding ball pythons, 29 in total and I am also breeding rats in the same room. I am keeping my BP's on newspaper and my rats on cedar shavings. They are all in the same room with a powerful fan exiting air out of the room. Can the cedar shavings in the room be potent enough to cause problems with my BP's health?

  • Why is my Male Ball Python not breeding??

I have 4 females that are all sizable enough to breed and I have one male that is 800g (Super Pastel)and another at 530g (Mojove)and they are breeding like clockwork to the females. I have another male that is 565g (Piebald)and does not show any intrest in any of the females what so ever. I starting cooling on November 20th and one of the males, the 530g male was not cooled at all. I went and grabbed him from my partner last night and took him out of his controlled temperature tank at 90 degrees hot side and 82 degrees cool side ... which is always at that temperature day and night and put him in with one of my cooled females.... 85 hot spot day, 76 cool spot day..... 76 hot spot night, and 70 cool spot night.... all is very well controlled and have totally ruled out that temperature is a factor proving that when my not cooled male bred as soon as he was introduced to the female last night... also he IS a male I pulled sperm plugs out of him today and he was an early 07 baby... Peter Kaul line Pied.... Any Ideas???

My male Piebald is in shed and is not showing any interest in the girls when I introduce him. Is it because He is in shed? And During the breeding season will they breed when they come into shed after already breeding or do they require a break?

  • My Ball Pythons have no light schedule and its Breeding Season SOON???????

My ball pythons have not been on a light schedule this entire year. (Thanks to some wrong sources) The light has never been on a timer and its just the light in the room ie. 60 watt house bulb. It only comes on when laundry is being done and tending to the snake times. ie. feeding, cleaning and observations. What should I do now that I am starting winter shut down. Should I offer less light and do the luandry in the dark or just keep them on the same schedule that they have been on? How greatly will this affect my breeding this season do you think? They have been eating like pigs for months and are kept at a steady proper temperature thanks to a Helix. I would love someone who knows alot about breeding, ie. has done it before in ball pythons to give an educated guess to how he or she thinks this will affect my breeding season.

  • Ball Python Feeding during winter shut down?

I am putting my balls into winter shut down on Dec 1. after I start the cooling process am I not suppose to offer food to them? If so for how long should I wait to offer food? am I only suppose to offer the males food during this time? If so how often should I offer food. It is my understanding that they wont even take food while in the breeding season but I know I am suppose to offer food and want to know when that will be so I will not mess up my breeding females and males for the season?

  • Ball Python and Lighting???

I am currently about to start putting my ball pythons into winter shut down for the breeding season. I have not been keeping them on a light schedule though. They are downstairs in the laundry room and only get light when i do laundry or when I am tending to them or feeding them. Now if I start to put them into winter shut down and don't have a light schedule will this greatly affect my fertilized egg output? Can I start them on a light schedule as soon as I start cooling them and everything will be O.K. ?

  • Is lighting a factor in the breeding process of Ball Pythons?

I have heard that you need to reduce the amount of light hours when putting your BPs into winter shut down. I truely belive that light doesn't play a factor in breeding ball pythons. Any one out there hear of this or know the answer? Best answer up for grabs
