  • 37 weeks pregnant with sore hands and feet.......?

Ok, this is my first, so naturally I tend to worry about the weird things I notice. My hands and feet really haven't swollen at all, but just last night my joints in my hands and feet started getting sore. Has this ever happened to you? I just wonder if it is cause for concern. I have also had a mild headache for the last 2 days. Tylenol hasn't really helped it. I have a doctors appointment Thursday and wonder if I should try to go in earlier.

Also, I am in Germany, so if I go to the doctors today or tomorrow, it will be treated as an emergency visit since tomorrow is also a holiday for them. So, I really don't want to go unless it is a problem. Thanks for the info!

  • Black mold in my house......?

Ok, so I rent a house. About 2 years ago, I let my land lord know that there was mold. At the time, it was only in 2 areas. The bathroom upstairs on the ceiling, and the spare bedroom on the wall near the floor. My mom was visiting and suggested he look for water damage before it gets worse. She used to work in redoing houses and such. So, about a year ago, I was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis because I would constantly try to clean the mold and it would make me sick for like 2 months at a time. So, again I informed my landlord of the problem, which had now spread to most parts of the ceiling in the bathroom, and what seems to be the outer corners of all the other rooms upstairs. I told them it needed to be fixed, because I wasn't going to clean it anymore. I suggested we put a vent in or something. Mind you, where I live is very rainy and tends to have higher humidity. Now, when it is warm enough, I leave the window in the bathroom open. So, like from March to October.

  • Is this a Patton quote?

"We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have been doing so much, for so long, with so little, that we are now qualified to do anything with nothing."

I can never remember. It definitely sounds like something he would say. I know it meant a lot to my step dad in Nam, and it means a lot to me now as I serve.

  • Vision changes in pregnancy?

Hey all, I'm always answering questions and never really asking. So, I am just wondering if any of you have noticed vision changes while pregnant, and if the problem continued after the birth? I am 27 weeks, and for about the last 2 months or so my vision has gone to crap. I used to have 20/10 in one and 20/15 in the other. Now I can't see anything at a distance. Well, I mean, I can see, but can't like read signs how I used to. I know it is caused be the hormone changes, but just want t know how or if it affected you. And did you go get glasses or contacts, or just wait it out?

  • Boy's Names?

Ok, I asked this yesterday, but now have narrowed down the names some more. My husband is not here for military reasons, so I appreciate the help. When I see name combos I like, I forward them over to him. I think we like Sean for the first name. But what do you think is best for the middle name, a of right now, we have William, Ryan, or Malon (or Mahlon). Our family name is Carter. Which combo do you like best. I am open to other suggestions too, but nothing to out there, and nothing to popular now sort of names. The ones we are working with are all family names. Thanks!

  • Need help with Boys names.?

Ok, so my husband and I are trying to come up with boys names and have had a tough time. He is not here right now, due to military reasons so that makes it even harder. Basically, I want to come up with a list to send him and he can send back what he likes. We are thinking some variation of family names, or maybe another nae, but add a family name as a middle name. For family names we have:

    Chadwick

    Wade

    Ryan

    William

    Shawn or Sean

    Daniel

    Donald

and I also like a few others Like Mason and Owen.

We don't want anything to popular or trendy right now. Oh and the last name is Carter if that helps to put names in order. We still have 4 months or so to come up with a name, but we are kind of anxious to figure it out now. Thanks for the help!

  • Gestational Diabetes?

Ok, so I went to my normal doctors appointment lat week (16 weeks). They saw glucose in my urine. So, they did the finger prick test and I was at 224, and hadn't eaten in like 2 hours. So, I went the next day and did the 2 hour glucose test. All they told me is, that after the 1st hour I was at 180, and the max was 180. My OB said he is going to send me to the dietitian on monday too, but he had me come in today and get the monitor and tracking sheets. I have to track everything I eat, which usually isn't that unhealthy, and check my blood 7 times a day. When I went today to the doctor they want me to check my own blood to make sure I could do it. It read 144 and I had eaten beef jerky like 2 hours before. All I had before that was a bagel with cream cheese and an OJ for breakfast four hours prior. Basically, I want to know if it sounds like I'm gonna be the one that has to use insulin. Like I said, I eat fairly healthy to begin with and my levels are still high.

  • Is this depo going to get out of my system soon?

Ok, I got the shot once back in October, then never again. Pretty much all of the first three weeks in March I had random spotting and cramping. I would cramp gradually from light to pretty bad, then it would stop, and I'd spot, no more than 2 days at a time. Then in the beginning of April, spotting and cramping for for like 2 days in the beginning of the month. Yep, and now today, same thing, but no spotting yet. Ans sometimes the spotting is so light it is just pink. I take a pregnancy test once a week and still nothing. I have gone to the doc for my yearly exam, and they haven't gotten back to me. That was a month and a half ago, so I don't think they found anything weird going on. Has anyone else ever had this kind of craziness? I know depo can take a while to get out of your system, but really is cramping and spotting common?

  • Varying wrist pain for 4 months...any ideas???? (docs and sufferers, help out!)?

Ok, I have had wrist pain for like 4 months now. I didn't injure it in any way. It started as achy, then more painful. About two weeks ago lightened up, and was almost unnoticeable. Now it is back and worse than before. I had x-rays, and there were no problems. I also had an MRI done. It showed some swelling, and a small ganglion cyst (I don't know what that means). My doc referred me to the Orthopedics office, but that is like 2 weeks from now. My other wrist is starting to feel the same way the first one started off feeling. Is it from compensating? Anti-inflammatories, a brace, and heat and ice have not helped. I asked the doc about carpel tunnel, and tendinitis, and rheumatoid arthritis. He didn't suspect any of these things, but that was only when it was one wrist bothering me. Any clue what it might be, or other ideas for relief? Should I go back to the doc, or will it not do any good?

  • Have you taken the Depo shot? Good or bad? Please explain!!?

Ok, this question is out of curiosity. I was on depo, and am still trying to get over the after effects. To me, it was the worst drug I have ever been on, but I would like to hear the opinions. I very rarely hear anything good, and always get the horror stories. Please reply for all the other women out there that are on, or thinking about depo. My thoughts are, ummmm absolutely not, never again, outlaw that crap!

  • Effexor XR withdrawals?????

Ok, so the Dr. said he didn't think I needed to be on any anti-depressants or anxiety meds when I went in to see if the ones I was on were ok since I am trying to get pregnant. So, I weened myself off the buspar, no problem. Then, the Effexor XR. I feel so weird. I dropped down to 37.5 mg from 75 mg, and didn't notice much. Then when I got to the end of my pills, seems like the next day I was super anxious and depressed. I hated everything around me and couldn't get over being frustrated with everything in my life. Along with all that, I'm tingly and a little light headed. Yet have a headache, and am just not myself. Normal? Have you dealt with this and stayed off the meds, or did you go back but to something different? I'm even thinking about stopping trying to get pregnant now, because I don't want to feel like this again and have a baby to take care of, that's not fare. Also, while I am on the subject. Have you been on similar meds that didn't mess with your libido?

  • After effects of Depo!?

Ok, so I got my first and only shot in October. I got a mini period on the 12th. It was light and lasted like 3 days. Then I had a week of on and off pinkish discharge, basically like once a day I would notice it. Then a few days of nothing. Now, like minimal spotting. I usually get a bit of a cramp, then next time I use the bathroom, a little blood. This happens like once a day. About every other day. I have had cramps since the 12th, and lower back aches too. I have had two negative HPT's, and got a blood test today. My Dr. wants to play the well lets see what happens in time game. Just wondering if anyone else has had this kind of craziness after Depo? That stuff should be outlawed. I'm pretty sure my body hates me for ever getting it! Hehe! But really, what is going on? And is it normal?

  • HPT's can't tell yet, any ideas????

Ok, I got the depo shot one time back in October, then didn't take it anymore. Finally, I got my period back on the 12th of March. So, I should have ovulated toward the end of February. Anyways, my period was like 3 days, and fairly light. So, now I have been having somewhat light cramping for probably like 4 days, along with lower back aches. Also, I have had pink discharge on and off for like 3 days. I took a home preggers test a couple of days ago, and of course it was negative, it would still be to early to tell. My hubby and I are actively trying to conceive, do you think it might have happened? Have any of you experienced this?

  • Hey All, I am trying to get pregnant. I was on the depo shot, but didn't take my last one.?

I took my first depo shot in October, and never took another one because, well let's just say I'm pretty sure the shot is meant to make you feel so crappy that sex isn't an option, thats how it really works! No, but really we are trying to get pregnant now, and I have heard it is possible to conceive when you ovulate, just prior to having your first regular period off the shot. Meaning, I didn't get my first regular period til about a week and a half ago, but it was only like 3 days long. Do, you think I could have gotten pregnant that quick?
