Alternative acne treatment for people who cannot use benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid?
Like aspirin products, I am allergic to salicylic acid and benzolyl peroxide is way too drying and unpleasant on my skin. Is there a dermatologist online who can offer good advice?
2 AnswersSkin Conditions8 years agoLegal question Re: back-child support?
I responding on behalf of a friend who owes back-child support and because he was unable to pay it, the court system ruled in favor of his Ex and this caused him to have his business license suspended, and to make matters even more difficult, he recently got pulled over, and when cops learned he owed money on back-child support they also suspended his driver's license. My friend is not a criminal and has no criminal record, but if he can't get a good lawyer to represent his case then what else would be a legal alternative in the state of CA? This person is very hard-working, but he needs a part of his life to be given back to him.

2 AnswersInfectious Diseases1 decade agoOww! It's hurts to take a pee? Doc/Nurse? Anyone?
My symptoms only happened this morning and I doubt that it's a bladder infection, but still can't say for sure. I've tried drinking cranberry juice during breakfast time, but how many days will I need to observe this before calling to schedule a medical appointment? It's just that I'd have to take it easy whenever I go tinkle.
6 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoWhere this concerns a 7 mo old. Should I report this to social services?
Well I realize the sensitivity of this issue, but the situation began last week on a Saturday evening.
My mom and sister had gotten into a huge argument over the babysitting arrangements, because my sister refused to pay my mom for the babysitting services of her 7 month old son. Prior to the incident, everything was fine until that night.
On the night of their huge argument, it was near 10 pm in the evening, my mom had just put the baby to sleep, but when his mother returned home, she was in an extremely bad mood, and in their heated argument escalated. My sister took her 7 month old son and insisted that she and the baby were going out to an adult party. Not only was it chilly out, but was also raining on late that evening.
Anyways, I contacted a close relative of mine (my cousin) to let her know the instability of the situation, and she voluntarily offered her services to watch over my sister's son for only a week. Two days later, my sister drives over 8 hours with her 7 mo old son to drop him off at my cousin's place. Knowing that he's in good hands, I continued to contact my cousin to ask how my nephew was doing. Only trouble is - my cousin wouldn't respond to any of my text messages, my emails, or even my phone calls to let me know if he's all right.
Anyways, my mom had contacted my cousin and my cousin told my mom that my sister promised to return and pick up her son after one week. It's been one week already, and she has continued to postpone picking up her son until Thursday. I've sent a text message to my sister about a week ago to ask how my nephew is doing and she has never responded. Understand that my nephew is not under anyone's custody other than his own mother. I care about my sister even as a single parent, but something inside doesn't feel right about the whole situation. My sister threatened to cutoff all ties with my mom, dad, including me. She can't find a babysitter for her 7 month old son and the worse thing is - she works a 12 hour straight shift four days a week and when she comes home to her son, she's always cross and tired. I've seen her spank her 7 month old and I've heard her call her own son a "bastard" and say words like "I hate you". Is this a normal thing for a mother? Even worse is that her 7 month old son is already showing signs of emotional distress.
Is there anyone who might be able to refer me to a family hotline or something here in the state of CA?

15 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoShould I be recommended a tonsillectomy?
My right tonsil contains a groove that I've had since my endoscopy procedure about 15 years ago. For many years now, I would have this curded white substance coming out from that side of my tonsil every now and then which smells rather unpleasant or pungent, especially after brushing my teeth or after I've gotten well from a recent bad cold. I'm sure it isn't strep, because I've suffered from strep once in my teens, but had it treated with antibiotics, and I'm not suffering from any fever, but should I just go right ahead and have my tonsils removed or can this be treated with meds?
3 AnswersInfectious Diseases1 decade agoJust for fun & curiosity. Is there a way to guess the astrological sign of your adopted pet?
...Just by observing it's behavior?
I have a very attractive silver/grey Maine Coon with bright green eyes. For a senior cat, he's quite agile and naturally outdoorsy with bird-catching tendencies.
He can, however, be prone to mood swings and will appear lazy and content one moment and suddenly become aggressive and playful the next. At feeding time, he doesn't eat until his dish is placed in its proper spot where he's used to eating, and since switching him from dry to wet food. He won't eat his dry food as much or at all until we've given him his wet food. If we don't feed him on time, he throws a tantrum and will let you know if he's having one.
I might also add, he can be quite the romantic affectionate feline and doesn't mind being pet every once in a while, but he is very territorial and will sometimes tend to bite or scratch.
