  • Parapalegic mother in Homs, Syria needs visa to Canada! Any Advice?

A friend of mine who lives in Canada Filed for Refugee to get out of Homs, Syria and was accepted 3 months later. He's resided there with citizenship since 1991 but, is an only child to a single mother who's Parapalegic and still lives in Homs, Syria. She has no other family members who will help her out and under the circumstances that Syria is going through...no one wants to take care of her because they're afraid to be out there. My friend wants to help her out to Canada, but Canada doesn't accept people with major health problems, such as hers. Is there any hope to get her in Canada, safe, with her son? Please, help?

  • Complete Blood Count with Auto Diff?

My Dr. told me he would like me to come in for an appointment, concerning my blood test results. He told me to not bring anyone else (which I usually bring my teenage kids with), as he would like to discuss the results without anyone present. What does this mean?

    # Lymphocytes 3.7 k/mm3 (High)

    % Lymphocytes 46.1% (High)

    Should I be concerned?????

  • Improvement w/hamster after 4 days?

THIS IS THE 4TH NIGHT I'VE STAYED BY MY DAUGHTER'S HAMSTER'S SIDE, NON-STOP. 4 DAYS AGO I NOTICED SHALLOW BREATHING, REAL HEAVY AND SLOW....ALONG WITH WHEEZING. I CHANGED THE BEDDING FROM PINE TO ASPEN SHAVINGS INSTEAD, THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE BREATHING BECAME MORE HEAVY AND SOUNDED FULL OF FLUID (RATTLING AND CLICKING NOISES). LATER, HE HAD Diarrhea AND BECAME SO WEAK....AND ALL THESE DAYS HE DIDN'T WANT TO EAT OR DRINK, SO I DECIDED TO MAKE A HOMEMADE PEDIALYTE AND SOFT FOOD AND HAD TO GRADUALLY GIVE IT TO HIM FROM SYRINGE FEEDER. TONIGHT I NOTICED HE CAME OUT OF HIS HIDEOUT AND BEGAN TO STUFF HIS CHEEKS WITH FOOD AND HE STOOD UP ALERT, LOOKING AT ME. HE HASN'T BEEN LIKE THIS FOR 4 DAYS UNTIL TONIGHT. IS THIS A GOOD SIGN, OR SHOULD I STILL WORRY?
