  • How to potty train my toddler?

Ok so my toddler is 25 months old and still not potty trained...grrr lol. He knows when he pees and poos because he grabs at his diaper. He is not talking yet, so he doesn't say that he needs to go or has went. He knows where his genitals is and I have a potty seat I let him play with during the day. The problem is, I don't know the best way to potty train my little one. Mommies, what worked best for you? Remember my son doesn't talk yet.

  • Problems with toddler when we go out?

Hi there everyone. My 23 month old toddler loves to walk around. Whenever we go to the store, mall, grocery shopping, etc. he refuses to be held, he refuses to go into his stroller, and he refuses to ride in a shopping cart. We have even tried the shopping carts with the car in front for him to sit in. He wants to run around with my husband or I chasing after him. My question is what do we do? We have another little one who is 6 months old and we can't keep chasing after him in the store when we have to get some shopping done. Any help please? We thought about getting a double stroller, but he just wants to run laps around the mall and store all day long.

  • Birthday Party for 2 year old?

My little one is turning two this May and I am not sure where to have his party at. I don't want to have to worry about cleanup and I don't want it at home because we are in an apartment. So any ideas of where to take him? He doesn't like Chuck E Cheese so that's out the question. thanks.

  • Toddler pulling off his diaper?

This morning my toddler pulled down his diaper...didn't even use the tabs to pull it off. How do I get him to not take off his diaper and drag poop everywhere? I don't think duct tape or putting the diaper on backwards will help because he doesn't use the tabs to take off his diaper. He just simply pulls the whole thing down. He is so strong! He doesn't have any onesies or the sleepers, so suggestions please!

  • How to keep my toddler out of the kitchen while I am cooking?

My almost 2 year old loves to follow me everywhere I go, which is not a problem for me except when I am trying to cook dinner. I have tried putting a baby gate up, and he just climbs right over it. Any ideas as I don't want him to come close to the oven or stove while I am cooking. And no, nobody else is home to watch him while I cook.

  • Toddler with blanket over head?

Hey there everyone. My toddler likes to wrap his head in his blanket or sheet when he goes to bed. Every night I have to go in there and unwrap his head. It is tight around his head to the point where I think he will suffocate. Please help on what to do. Should I just put him in warmer clothes and take the blankets away? Thanks.

  • Question about my husband and I situation?

Hey there. My husband and I have recently started going back to church in 2011. He got saved and baptized. Praise God! and I repented for my sins and asked Jesus back into my heart. The situation we are in is his brother is not saved, and he wants to spend time with him every weekend for a couple of hours and talks on the phone with him 45 minutes at a time. I am not trying to judge, but how can expect to grow in Christ when his brother cusses and they don't say anything about God in their coversations, and he also drinks liquor and goes clubbing. Not to mention his brother and his girlfriend are living in sin (they live together and are not married). How do I handle this on my end? Do I just sit back and pray? What about when they come over and want to watch those scary movies? Also, my husband wants our family to go over to his family gatherings twice a month, which isn't bad, but none of them are saved and all they talk about is gossip and drink alot of alcohol every time we go over there. I don't want to be in that environment, especially our two kids. What do I do when he want us to go over there? What do I say? I know to pray about it, but is that all I can do? It's like God doesn't exist when we see his family members, not to mention when we do mention God they tell him that they don't want to hear about that stuff, and they denied or lied about going to church. Please help

  • Feeding my 20 week old baby?

Hello everyone. My 20 week old baby is exclusively breastfed. I wanted to know if it would be okay to start feeding him a little cereal at night before he goes to sleep. If so, how much should I feed him? I want to put a little in his bottle with the pumped milk. He does not go to sleep with the bottle in his mouth for other concerned moms.

I want to go to the rodeo this year, but my son will be 22 months old. Do you think he will be able to enjoy anything when we go or should I just get a sitter and count the rodeo as a date between my hubby and I?

  • I need some suggestions on my kids' schedules?

Hello everyone. I have two wonderful kids. Both are boys-1 is 20 months old and the other one is 4 months old. I am trying to put them on a routine schedule to where they both take their nap at the same time during the day and at night. I know my 4 month old needs more sleep. I just want their sleep to run into each other on the time. My 4 month old sleeps 8 hours at night and my 20 month old sleeps 10 hours at night, and sleeps 1 hour for nap during the day. Any suggestions on any experienced mothers out there who have had children this close together in age? Thanks.

  • Potty training question?

Hi there everyone. My 19 month old son is starting to show signs that he is ready to potty train. For example, when he "uses the restroom" in his diaper, he pulls his knees together and pulls at his diaper. He even takes off his diaper sometimes. I bought him his own potty chair a week ago and he is starting to get used to sitting in it with his clothes on. He grabs a book and goes to sit on it lol. I was wondering what the next step is? Should I go commando and let him run around without a diaper on to train him fast or should it be a more gradual process? What did your kids do? I have a boy. And yes, he is interested in watching daddy and I go to the potty and and is able to take off his pants as well as his diaper. He doesn't talk yet, but as I said before he pulls his diaper when his diaper is full.

  • 18 Month old language development issues?

My son turned 18 months on the first and he only says two words (Daddy and Eat). Whenever he wants something, he cries and throws temper tantrums. I want to teach him that instead of throwing his tantrums to tell me what he wants. I have tried all kinds of methods (ignoring him when he cries, putting him in time out, talking to him in a soft tone and when he calms down, spanking him on his behind, etc). I just feel like he knows that if he cries he gets what he wants and doesn't feel the need to talk. I read stories to him and talk and sing to him all the time. He even hangs around other kids that talk. Is this normal and any suggestions please?

  • Requesting a dispute from Credit Bureau?

Ok so here's my situation. My car was totaled last year (not my fault) and the driver's insurance company (Geico) sent a check to the finance company for $8000 to pay for the car. At that time, I owed a total of $9500 left on the car. So with the check deduction, I would only owe $1500 on the car. Well, when I called them to see if they deducted the check from my account, the finance company told me that they would not do that and I would have to pay the full amount. I could not afford a lawyer at the time, and now that it has been a year I cannot sue the company, right? Or can I? Well anyways, on my credit report it says that I have a repossession on that same car that was totaled by the finance company and that I have a delinquent (closed) account for $9500. I want to request an investigation with the credit bureau. I have copies of the check Geico sent, all of my car payments I made with the remaining balance. I didn't pay after they told me they would refuse to credit my account, so what is the reason I put for falsifying information? Can they legally put that they repossessed a totaled car when they got the check from the insurance company? I know to put that they have the wrong debt amount, but is the repossession part falsifying or no? Please any advice would help. Thanks.

  • Newborn feeding every hour?

My 5 day old son is breastfeeding every hour. I have been pumping to see how much he eats, and he eats 1-1.5 oz of breastmilk. I have tried everything to keep him awake for feedings, but he just falls asleep. He doesn't have jaundice and he is very healthy-he weighed 8 lbs 10 oz at birth. I never experienced this with my other children as they fed every couple of hours. Please any suggestions mothers on bf tips for him to eat more? Should I just let him cry it out every hour? He cries histerically every hour because he is hungry, but only feeds 10-15 minutes. I am in desperate need of advice as I have a toddler at home to take care of also. Thanks in advance.
