  • I messed up with my BC and now have my period when I shouldn t?

So I ve been skipping my periods with BC for two months now. And this month I wanted to do the same. As you know, you have to take the pill every day in order for this to happen. But when it was time to take my BC I couldn t go to the pharmacy right away so I didn t take any pills for two days. Then on the third day, I just took the 3 pills and hoped for the best. Well ever since that day, I ve been bleeding. It s not as bad as a period, but it s not just spotting either and I do have cramps as well. It s been like this for about 4 days now. Should I be worried?

  • How to smell good if i don't use deodorant?

Long story short, I stopped wearing deodorant about 2 years ago when I did some research on how it's a leading cause of breast cancer. I now use a mineral called "alum", I basically just wet it and rub it under my pits as if it were deodorant. But this mineral can only last for so long, even if I shower, a couple hours later I can be smelly and sweaty. (I honestly don't know what it depends on, some days it works wonders and I don't smell all day, and some days it doesn't work at all). Any tips??

  • Where can I get a padlock engraved?

I'm going to Paris and want a padlock engraved, but of course it's really expensive. #1. I can't find the giant ones in the shape of a heart, #2. All the tiny ones I find start at $30. So is there a place I can get a HUGE padlock? and a separate place to get it engraved? I think it would be cheaper to purchase and engrave it in person than do it online.

  • When applying for fiance visa, how long after marriage can a person travel?

My boyfriend lives in Mexico, I live in the US and am a US citizen. We would like to get married in the US, and also live in the US after marriage. I heard the fiancé visa is the type of visa that would work best for our situation. I was wondering how long it would take for him to be able to travel after we get married? We were set on honeymooning in Europe and had considered getting married legally first (at the courthouse), then once the documents come in, having the religious ceremony, then going on our honeymoon right after. But I know this can take a long time. How long would it take for him to be able to travel to Europe once we get married legally?

  • Birth control pills and lower sex drive?

What can I do if I notice that my birth control pills are diminishing my sex drive? I don't want to switch pills because I would have to go to a doctor and not only would that conversation be embarrassing, but I don't have health insurance right now. I'm in my 20's, I shouldn't have this problem just because I don't want to get pregnant!! :( What can I do??

  • I need advice from people who are really good at lying!!?

So I'm planning a surprise party for my mom on the 26th, and she found a bag of party decorations under my bed, and she asked about them. The first thing that came to my head was "oh, they're for my aunt's birthday party, she gave me money to buy them". My aunt's party is the Saturday before my mom's. The thing is, these are the type of decorations that get wrinkled and ruined after one party. I don't want to waste them on my aunt's party. What's a good excuse I can come up with to not use the decorations for her party??

I had thought about having my aunt tell her that she didn't have time to put up the decorations so she's gonna save them for another occasion, but #1. It sounds suspicious, and #2. My aunt usually has me decorate her house for her whenever she's gonna have a party. And my mom loves her so much that she would make sure that I went over early to help her decorate....any ideas?!!!

    Thanks in advance!!!

  • What happens if I forgot to fill out a graduation application? (community college)?

Here's the deal, I technically already graduated with a BA last year from a university, but the Master's program I wanted to get into had other gen ed requirements that I hadn't taken, so I've been taking them at a community college for the past two semesters. This is supposed to be my last semester at the community college, but I didn't think I would have to technically "graduate" since I already graduated, but I'm looking online and it says that students who plan on graduating had to have filled out that form back in February. So what does this mean for me? Does it just mean that I can't attend the ceremony? (which I never planned to)...I mean I just always figured that I just wouldn't register for the following semester and have my final transcripts sent over to the graduate school and that's it, I didn't think I had to actually "graduate" college, since I already did. I know it's different for each school, but I just want to get an idea of what this means before I ask a counselor tomorrow. Thanks.

  • I need ideas for decorating a party with old photos?

I'm planning a surprise party for my mom, and initially I wanted to do the decor idea where you tie an old photo to a balloon and lay them out on a table, but I have like 40-50 photos, and that many balloons seems excessive since the party is going to be in our dining room..do you guys have any other ideas? I also saw an idea where they decorated the wall with the number "50" in old photos, but I have a feeling she won't want people knowing how old she is lol.

  • Dropping things in mailbox vs going to post office?

This might be a stupid question, but I always go to the post office to mail packages (duh!) and letters that are going to another country. But now I have about 20 envelopes that I have to mail, they're just party invitations, can I drop it in any mail box or should I go to the post office? Thanks

  • I'm 23 and my parents won't let me stay out late?

So here's the deal, I got a new job Friday and Saturday nights, I'd be coming home around 1-2am. I can't tell my parents about it. It's not a bad job or anything, they just have really high expectations that I can't meet. (, i also work as a medical assistant, and they know this) I just started this week, the problem is that I've always been a homebody, I never really go out.. Ever. (something that my mom always complains about ) So this weekend when I stayed out late, she freaked... She kept calling me and texting me and gave me the third degree when I got home, I told her that I was watching movies at a friends house and she said I shouldn't have gone alone and next time I should take my little brother with me... WTF??? I never expected her to act this way since she always wanted me to go out, now that I am, she doesn't want me to. I need a good excuse to stay out late every weekend for like the next 8 months to pay my credit card bill so I can finally move out ... Help?

  • question about birth control pills and skipping period?

I forgot to buy a new BC pack, I didn't want to get my period this week so I was planning on just starting a new pack and skipping the placebo pills. But since I forgot to buy the new pack, I was wondering if it's safe to skip the pill today (it would be the first placebo pill of the week), and tomorrow take two BC pills (the one from today and tomorrow's). Is this possible? Or is there something I should do in this situation?

  • Why am I so jealous of certain people and not of others?

So I have these relatives, (in a completely different country I might add), and I always find myself checking their Facebook to see if anything good has happened in their lives lately, and if something does, as minor as it may be, I get really depressed and self conscious.

I admit, I had a falling out with these cousins of mine, and we no longer speak. ( I actually check their FB by logging into my mom's profile. )But the fallout was something completely unrelated to insecurities or anything like that, and even before that fallout, the jealousy has been there for years...not ALWAYS, but for many years. I used to love them to death, treat them like sisters, buy them everything and anything they wanted, etc. I can't really remember when I first started feeling this jealousy...Anyways, If anything, I know for a fact that the one closest to my age (which happens to be the one I'm most jealous of), has been super jealous of me our entire lives. I'm in American, I grew up privileged, I've had a great boyfriend for over 8 years now, I'm pretty, I have everything I could ever want and then some...and she is the complete opposite of those things, which makes this even stranger.

I sound (and feel) like a teenager...Why am I constantly bothered by anything good that happens to these people? Whether it's a new boyfriend or a new dress, or just the fact that they're happy, it drives me nuts. This is insane, right? I shouldn't be feeling this way. I shouldn't even care about these people! They don't seem to care about me. Why can't I just forget they exist? It's not like I ever see them.

Please don't take my post the wrong way, I'm in no way cocky or full of myself at all, I just really feel like I need help. I don't get these jealous feelings with other family members or friends, I'm happy when something good happens to them. But these relatives, if one good thing happens to them, it doesn't matter if my life is 100x better, I get really upset and insecure. I understand being jealous of celebrities or supermodels, or even regular girls that are super pretty. But this isn't the case...I mean one of them is pretty, she's the one I used to be closest to, she was like a little sister to me and I still have trouble not thinking about her when I see something in the store she would like...but these relatives were just being nice to me so I would buy them stuff, and in return would talk bad about me behind my back, so I had to stop getting involved with that part of the family.

Anyway, what should I do? :( Why can't I stop thinking about these awful people? Why does their happiness affect my life so much? As hard as I try, I just can't stop! :(

  • Did John Adams want women to vote and not men with no land?

I have an article where it seems like he's fighting for women to vote in one paragraph and in the last paragraph he says that if this does happen, then chaos will ensue because everyone will want to vote...at least that's what I understood from the article, but then I also know that he didn't want common folk to vote if they didn't own any land. So he argued that women should vote but not men with no property? This doesn't make sense.

    This is the article:

Letter from John Adams to John Sullivan, May 1776

It is certain in Theory, that the only moral Foundation of Government is the Consent of the People. But to what an Extent Shall We carry this Principle? Shall We Say, that every Individual

I . . . hope you'll not think them [the men who took the salt] to be men of seditious principles,

who might be desirous of stirring up party faction, they are by no means such. I know several

of the leading men to be men of reputation, who bear and are deserving of as good a moral

character as most men in the country; I could wish our leading Gentlemen [were] as little

inclined to party designs and self-interest as Colston, who was the leader of that company

[which took the salt]. The [men who took the salt] have been sincere in their Country's cause

and have acted like men of Spirit and principle ever since these distressing times commenced,

which is more than can be said with truth of any engrosser of Salt here. . .

[If our] first Gentlemen . . were real friends to their country as they style themselves, would

they engross that necessary article salt, and keep it from [those who need it] as they do in this

county, which seems to be for no other purpose than to distress the needy (for what end?) to

make the war in which we are engaged more irksome, occasion the people to mutineer and

create divisions among them, these are the ends they answer. May just vengeance fall on the

heads of all such traitors of the Community, old and young, male and female, as well as rich and poor, must consent, expressly to every Act of Legislation? No, you will Say. This is impossible. How then does the Right arise in the Majority to govern the Minority, against their Will? Whence arises the Right of the Men to govern Women, without their Consent? Whence the Right of the old to bind the Young, without theirs?

But let us first Suppose, that the whole Community of every Age, Rank, Sex, and Condition, has a Right to vote. This Community, is assembled--a Motion is made and carried by a Majority of one Voice. The Minority will not agree to this. Whence arises the Right of the Majority to govern, and the Obligation of the Minority to obey? from Necessity, you will Say, because there can be no other Rule. But why exclude Women? You will Say, because their Delicacy renders them unfit for Practice and Experience, in the great Business of Life, and the hardy Enterprizes of War, as well as the arduous Cares of State. Besides, their attention is So much engaged with the necessary Nurture of their Children, that Nature has made them fittest for domestic Cares. And Children have not Judgment or Will of their own. True. But will not these Reasons apply to others? Is it not equally true, that Men in general in every Society, who are wholly destitute of Property, are also too little acquainted with public Affairs to form a Right Judgment, and too dependent upon other Men to have a Will of their own? If this is a Fact, if you give to every Man, who has no Property, a Vote, will you not make a fine encouraging Provision for Corruption by your fundamental Law? Such is the Frailty of the human Heart, that very few Men, who have no Property, have any Judgment of their own. They talk and vote as they are directed by Some Man of Property, who has attached their Minds to his Interest...

Depend upon it, sir, it is dangerous to open So fruitfull a Source of Controversy and Altercation, as would be opened by attempting to alter the [property] Qualifications of Voters. There will be no End of it. New Claims will arise. Women will demand a Vote. Lads from 12 to 21 will think their Rights not enough attended to, and every Man, who has not a Farthing, will demand an equal Voice with any other in all Acts of State. It tends to confound and destroy all Distinctions, and prostrate all Ranks, to one common Levell.
