  • My 9 wk old Jack-Rat puppy...?

I have a male 9 week old JRT who is (can be) the sweetest little thing. Myself and my husband work, but my dad stays here with my 3 year old daughter during the day. I am figuring out that my daughter may be contributing to making him mean. She plays too rough with him. My problem is his biting. He won't stop biting me and it it getting worse. He does have spells that he licks, but what are some training options that I can teach my dad and myself to get him to stop biting/nipping. I understand he's going to chew on things and he has toys, but the people issue is my problem.

  • Conversion chart? Bacon bits to cooked sliced bacon?

I have two recipes for Christmas dishes that call for a total of 15-16 slices of bacon and was wanting to use real bacon bits in place of it. What I don't know is how much of a jar or how many jars equals 15-16 cooked slices of bacon.

  • How do I break my daughter of this?

My daughter is 30 months old and FULLY potty trained during the day only. She still gets diapers at naps and at night. We'll work on that in another question, LoL. But my question is, how do I break her of wanting me to go with her to the bathroom every time she has to go. She does go alone sometimes, but she always cries when I try to get her to go it alone. What do I do? Just keep going with her? She does everything in the bathroom when it's time to potty just right and I want her to start becoming a little more independent with it. She's still using a potty chair because she's pretty short for her age, so I'm not real comfortable with her using a stool and getting on the big potty yet. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  • Poll question...parents who leave children with grandparents?

How many of you leave your children (under school age) with your mother or husband's mother (or dads, etc.)? Do they drive/walk to your house or do you take kids to them? If they come to you, do you compensate them for gas? Do you pay them for their services and who initated it if you do? Did they want you to pay them like daycare or did you offer to pay them. If so again, how much per week?

  • Home networking....?

Ok, so I have two dell computers. One is a Inspiron 530 desktop and the other is an inspiron 1525 laptop. I have Comcast cable internet and a Netgear Rangemax next wireless-n router. Up until today, all was good and working well....well not anymore. I came home and my dad was under guest on my laptop trying to get on the internet and it wasn't working. I have been working on this since 6:00 pm this evening. In the beginning, it would connect locally but not to the internet. Even sitting the same room as the router, it can't find the network. Ok, so I hardwired it and it works....the light for my wifi is on (i guess that means its working) and all the lights on my router are good...internet is green and wireless is on. I CANNOT CONNECT WIRELESSLY! Have restarted everything (in sequential order....nothing). I am out of what to do. I have checked settings, routerlogin.net says router is working fine...i'm just out of ideas. Can ANYONE help me?!?!

  • What kind of router do i need?

I have currently a dell desktop running vista with a wireless LAN Card WL-138G_V2 for 802.11g & 802.11b Wireless Networks and have purchased a dell laptop with a Intel 4965 802.11a/g/n Dual-Band Mini Card. We have the desktop inside and will have the laptop outside most of the time. Our house is only 1100 square feet and out in our shop is less than 20 yards away. So what kind of router do I need? Thanks!

  • Get video off of my camcorder to my computer??

Hey all. I have a JVC GR-D370U Digital Video Camera that records onto MiniDVs. Ok, so I just bought a new computer that has Vista and I just went and got a firewire cable. I have 3 outlets for a plug-in. I have tried the front and the back now. When I plug it in, it brings up AutoPlay options to either import video or record. I choose import. Well, sometimes it tells me that there is no compatible camera connected, to close the program and try again, then I can get past that and choose to save the file as whatever and I have seen the import screen ONCE. It either freaks out, or cuts off completely with no warning. Does ANYONE know what is going on here?

  • Diaper Rash or Burn??

My daughter was sick and was put on Omnicef antibiotics. They finally gave her diarhhea and it wasn't bad. After about 3-5 hours, and one good poop, she developed a SEVER diaper rash. I mean, I can count on ONE HAND how many diaper rashes my daughter has had and she's almost 2. She would scream bloody murder before I even began to touch her because it hurt her so badly. Well, we finally got the rash cleaned up and started to healing and now, it looks almost like it's a burn. She had the diaper rash, not this past Saturday, but LAST Saturday. Even today, it is splotchy, red and chapped like. It doesn't hurt her, and she isn't complaining with it....not even when she poops. I am going to call the Dr. tomorrow, but wondering if any parents have been through this. I'm thinking maybe an allergic reation to the anibiotics or maybe burns from the diaper rash?? Anyone have any ideas?

  • I just bought a new computer....?

I just bought a brand new dell that I have been wanting for awhile. I decided not to buy new speakers, whereas, my old ones work just fine on my brother in law's 1 year old Dell. For some reason, with my new computer (which has Vista, whereas, BIL has XP Media Center) my speakers are performing very poorly. The sound volume on my computer at 100% sounds about like 50% (if that) from previous performance. I have tried to find a volume control that maybe was down, etc., but can't seem to find anything. I can't even hear normal "computer" sounds. Music is very low and sound on video is just as low. Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know how to fix it? There isn't a problem with my speakers...i have unhooked them from my computer and put them on my bro in laws (since I have discovered this problem) and they sound fine on his computer...it's just with mine. Anyone have any ideas?
