Why do crane operators pee in bottles?
Wouldn't it be easier to open the door and make it rain
2 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 week agoIt seems so easy to monetize Answers, why is Yahoo abandoning it?
To me the way to sell advertising on the site would be to tighten age requirements with other existing site verification, and enroll members in specific subject areas. This would give advertisers an audience with specific interests and allow purchase of ads relative to the users interests. Age requirements could vary with subject matter with no requirement of greater than 18 years. Then bring back comments (juried) and let us go at it.
1 AnswerOther - Advertising & Marketing1 week agoHow do employers justify touting "competitive" wages as a legitimate comparison of pay while condemning wage comparisons among employees?
When employees cite the wages their co-workers earn as a benchmark to compare their wage to, employers denounce it as irrelevant because they claim that every employee is different and they say to mind your own business.
BUT
Somehow, these same employers consider wage comparisons among employees in DIFFERENT COMPANIES as legitimate...they just call it "competitive" wages.
How can they justify their claim that what employees at various different companies earn is more relevant to what one of their employees earn than what their coworkers doing the same job at the same company earn?
How can a company logically use wage comparisons for the industry to tell you "you make enough", while simultaneously telling you that wage comparisons that are objectively more relevant because they do the same job at the same company are irrelevant?
Corporations1 week agoWhat advice can you please give about budgeting my time and juggling three work-related projects at once?
Hi. I want to work as a work-from-home transcriptionist but I need to train myself how to do that first. I have the equipment I need - a transcription headset and a foot pedal.
I want to learn how to voice act professionally for cartoons I want to produce. I signed up for an online voice over training program. I want to publish and monetize my own animated cartoons and comics online. I am waiting to get what I need so I can turn my den into a sound studio and work the program.
I want to teach myself how to use Flash, Quark Express, Illustrator and Photoshop - four different art programs - through an online learning system called The Metrix Learning System. This is a FREE system provided to me through my local employment center. I am going to teach myself how to use these art programs for FREE, so I can produce my own animation and comics. I need to get the okay from the head of my local employment center to use the system and explain to him WHY I want to learn these art programs. I want to learn how to use them so I can produce my own animated cartoons and comics. However with this system there is an allotted time for which I can learn the software between the time I log in and log out of the system.
I still want to learn how to use Adobe Flash even though online support for it officially ended.
Time is an issue.
What advice can you give about budgeting my time and juggling these three projects at once? They are all work-related.
Please help. Thank you.

So I got offered this internship that I really really wanted. I’m ecstatic right now because I was competing against other girls. It was this lady who is the owner of a small buisness and the internship is perfect for me. The only thing is that I got another job as well and they both start on the same day. I would like to be able to do both but if I had to choose I would choose the internship. I talked to my dad on the phone and he said to let the internship lady know but I’m so non confrontational and don’t want to seem unreliable. How do I let her know my other job starts the same day and that I want to still pursue the internship?

Site claims "Instant line of credit for gig workers". I applied with them last week they gave me a $1500 line of credit that sat on there site as pending to my bank account I emailed them about why it was pending and they said they need my ID and utility bill to proceed. It appears they may be new and website is in beta. They have a Twitter, Facebook and Instagram but all have very few followers. Thanks in advance!
