What's a good car to start with?

    Favourite answer:

Whichever vehicle meets the most of your wants and needs from a vehicle while still fitting within your budget.

I also suggest that you phone an insurance agent or broker to get insurance quotes for each vehicle after you've narrowed down your choices to 2 or 3 finalists.  Insurance premiums can vary wildly between vehicles and an insurance quote may help you decide on which vehicle to finally pick.

Assuming you're going for a used vehicle, also have a dealer or shop inspect the vehicle you're serious about buying before you finalize the deal.  This is your best protection against being saddled with unanticipated repairs within the foreseeable future.

Are people going to make fun of me if I drive a kia suv?

I'm gonna put a lot of miles on it. So, I figured best put a bunch of miles on a cheaper suv.

If I buy a nicer expensive car I'm going to put so many miles on it

What happens if you have too much mileage on a car? Is that bad?

Thinking of getting a car under 10k and the mileage is 105k is that too much? Is it good or bad? What happens if you go over the mileage? What happens if the mileage is too low?

Is there a safe way to buy a car from a private seller in another state without traveling?

    Hello,

Recently my little brother found the car of his dreams.

He has the money to buy it, as well as pay for shipping fee.

He lives in Virginia, and the car and seller are in New York.

He was wondering is there any legal and safe way to buy the car and have the title transfered/mailed without actually having to travel about Nine hours away?..

All advice and sugestions are appreciated.

    Thank you!

Do car dealers typically let you test drive a car, is there any conditions in which they don't let u test drive?

I wanted to test drive a particular suv model to see what's it like driving it since I'm trying to decide what suv to buy

I just may not buy the car, I just want to act interested and test drive it and then say I plan on testing out other cars or it's probably not exactly the car I wanted. Any excuse lol

What would you do? Someone wants to borrow my car, 3000 miles, $400 bucks  - worth it?

Hi all. My dad wants to borrow my car which has 52,000 miles on it. He'd add about 3000 miles with the trip, it's far.

The thing is I also have to go on a similar trip the week after he comes back, which will be ANOTHER 3000 miles.

That's a lot of miles. My dad is totally willing to rent a car for 400 bucks but was just asking if I wanted to lend him mine and he'd give me the money instead. I am really on the fence. I know very little about cars. What would you do?

What truck should I get ?

So my car has officially ended it’s lifespan and now I’m in the market for a truck specifically, so this time it’s go big or go home at the least for the 4 I have in mind in my opinion, right now it’s between the Toyota Tacoma Trd sport or trd off-road, or the Chevy Colorado z71 or Zr2, I’m going for reliability, muscle, want to know any problems I should be aware of, trucks being trucks I know gas won’t compare to something like a civic but gotta start somewhere, any thoughts and opinions

A man at the gas station took a picture of my car VIN #?

I was at a gas station and a guy came over and was talking to me about my car. He said he was looking to get a new one and mine looked really cool (which it is nice ) . I go inside to pay for my gas and come out to him taking a picture of my car front and back . I go into my car to lock up my wallet and he takes a pick of inside my door where the PSI and VIN is.

What can he do with this info? He seemed nice .... but can it be something else ?

is it a good time to get a new car?

right now I have had this used car for 2years. recently I have been feeling unsave driving it because for the past couple of months i had to take it into the shop. something was always wrong with the car and I have grown tired of spending so much money on getting it fixed "temporarily". any ways, I have 19,600 left to pay off this car, my credit is 615, and a car I am looking at is around 22,000. I am thinking about putting 2,000 down. financially, would I be able to get a new car? comparing my credit, how much I still owe and how much the new car is. would do you think?

Why is it so hard to find a new subaru brz or toyota 86 at the dealerships?

Im gonna need a new car soon. I finally have enough money saved up to pay cash for one. however, i can't find them anywhere. I really want a small sporty car. Not really interested in the mustang as i prefer Japanese cars. I don't want a suv or large sedan. why are they so hard to find?

    Is an older car better?

I have a 2010 Chevy cobalt but I will be having my third child this year so this car will be too small. Thing is we can’t really afford another car note. Would it be better to buy a bigger car we could pay cash for or go ahead and get a car note??

    What truck should I buy?

Ok, I’m planning on buying a truck in 5 months time. I should have about 10,000 saved for the truck alone. I do not want to dip in other savings, that I have aside. With the being said, I want the truck to have 4x4. I would be using this truck for transportation back and forth from work but also taking it fishing and going back in the trails but nothing crazy. I dont care about the year, I just don’t want the miles to be too crazy and yes I wouldn’t mind getting a small lobe of about 8k?

How do dealers know if a car is reliable? Do they test them out a lot?

    Favourite answer:

with 140,000 miles it's definitely been driven around. It really depends if if was taken care of its entire life, but that is impossible to determine. Some people abuse their cars causing premature engine failure. Check the bluebook value to make sure you aren't getting ripped off. Check under the car and in the engine compartment for leaking fluids.

I see some one selling an expensive nissan rogue for only 1k claiming that he's leaving for FL this sunday?

    Favourite answer:

There is no "what if" here. Its a scam.

The vehicle is probably stolen and the title is a fake reproduction. You'll pay him, get keys and a fake title, and when you go to the DMV to get registration they'll scan the VIN and see that its been reported stolen. If you're lucky they will take the car and return it to its rightful owner and you're just out the $1000 you paid the scammer, but you could be charged with possession of stolen goods.

If someone is legitimately in a hurry to sell because they're moving away very soon, they can trade it in at a legitimate dealership and get a check the same day for a lot more than $1000.
