Are Brits still cheap skates, with their shopping, preferring cheaply made goods or 2nd hand Charity shops?

    Favourite answer:

Why are charity shops an issue? Re-using items rather than binning them is surely better for the planet; and a lot of vintage items aren't necessarily cheap.

Also; it's not a British thing wanting cheaper clothes. Tourists go to Primark stores with suitcases to stock up...

I want to see london at night. When's best time to go for evening walk?

I am coming to city of London from my town which is 2 hrs away and I want to see the city at night. I was thinking of going at 7 then staying sightseeing until 9pm, as I know it gets dodgy at night. Is this a sensible idea?

Bearing in mind I also need to get home, and want to get back for 11?

Would it be weird to randomly travel from London to Birmingham ?

Ok so I’ve never seen Birmingham properly and only been for a few hours once as a stopover however I really want to just go there as a day trip to see the Bullring or Cadbury factory or whatever it has to offer

Why is it still so cold in London even though it's April?

    Favourite answer:

This is normal.  Every few years we get a cold snap in April.  In 2010 I was working on a road scheme in Kent and we were SNOWED OFF for several days in April.  Less than three weeks later it was over 30.  That felt crazy!

In the bigger picture though, later springs are becoming a thing in Britain.  It gets cold later in the year than it used to so all kinds of plants now flower in December that used to either have died back or wouldn't flower until the next Spring, so plants we never used to see together now co-exist.  It's also changed the order in which some spring flowers come.  I knew we were going to have a cold spring because my bluebells are very late this year.

Are British people obsessed with weather?

    Favourite answer:

I am British and personally I would say we are. I recently took part in a self development program that taught me to focus on whats in my control and not whats out of my control. One of the things thats out of our control is the weather, i had to regularly stop myself from talking about it or partaking in convos about, or even letting it stop whatever action i was going to do. I realised then just how many times on a daily basis the subject of weather came up and it was pretty crazy to realise and to realise how many people let something so out of their control have influence over there lives and even their goals.

In London and England is there a serious middle class problem?

Why are the cultural norms and attitudes so dominant by the English middle class in all aspects of life in England? Historically, they have shilled. In the 1980s during the mining strike the far lefties kept turning the narrative to socialism when many of the working class people just wanted to keep the jobs there that were easy and accessible to working people, which aided the government heavy hand response and narrative. Also fake protests like extinction rebellion appear to be dominated by the fake middle class and not the real working class people.

In London when the East Enders moved to Essex with East London being more Asian, the middle class claimed that many working class leaving were racist yet they are the first to do gentrification and in places like Brixton which appears is racist to black people. Will the English Middle class values and norms be challenged? The working class and upper class values seem great as both sides are honest with their status. The problem is exasperated when shills like the socialists portray the middle class status the problem when real problem is the cultural behaviour and privagte school fake personalities. When will their cultural behaviour be stopped? Especially when news channel people and politicians have this as their de facto way of behaviour. When will job interviews be 'negotiations' for working class instead of 'middle class fake interviews'? When will school norms change to have benefits for working class views?
