    Question about Venice?

    Favourite answer:

Of course there are streets. They are mostly pedestrian, however, which makes it a fabulous city to walk around- except when it floods which it has recently. It's sinking, and the waters are rising. There are organizations trying to save it. The main way to get around is by the water taxi, which makes it great fun.

Is most of Venice underwater after the storms?

    Favourite answer:

Venice has been severely flooded lately........as Italy has been getting POUNDED by fierce weather events for the last 6 weeks STRAIGHT. There is damage from one end of the country to the other.

The Ligurian coast has been all but OBLITERATED.......over 200 beach front establishments just wiped out.

Portofino is now a disaster area..... HUNDREDS of boats and Yachts sunk or blown ashore......

damage comparable to the recent Hurricane in Florida. .....yet you see virtually none of this on International news stations.

Google Italy storm damage 2018.......to see what you are missing.

For those who have been to Venice, Italy is it a very Romantic city?

    Favourite answer:

It can be if you're there with the right person. A gondola ride can be very romantic as is wandering along the canals in the early morning when there aren't crowds of people
