late period negative HPT?

Question

Hi, I'm waiting to take a blood test but was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar. My periods arrive like clockwork every 29 days. This month I had cramping and dark brown spotting a week before my period. I am 3 days late, have taken 2 hpt's both negative. I feel some bloating and get the feeling my period is coming but whe I run to the bathroom to check it's just clear discharge?! Could I be pregnant?

Update:

Spotting only lasted several hours. I had LH surge 10 days prior.

You may have to wait abit longer as you mention you are 3 days late so it may be too early to pick anything up. i had very similar symptoms i know how annoying it can be. I had blood test and they came back negative but i soon found out 2 months later that i was indeed pregnant. either go and talk to a doctor or wait another week for a more accurate result.

Yes you could be ..it could have been just to early to detect the hcg in your urine with the hpt...If you are going for a blood test then I wouldnt bother doing another hpt...Good Luck~~

Sounds to me like you are going to be a mommy...congrats!!!! The brown bleeding would be implantation bleeding. Don't worry aboutthe HPT sometimes theres not enough HCG in your pee and sometimes HCG never makes it to a womens pee. Get you blood test. Good Luck!!!!!!
