No, drinking it causes water to go into the intestinal tract. Drowning occurs from either fluid in the lungs or bronchospasms which prevent oxygen form entering the lungs. However, there is such a thing as water intoxication, which can kill a person from drinking too much water. They do not drown, but drink so much water that the electrolytes are leached from the system, causing cardiac arrest and death

thier has been alot of people that have died from drinking too much water the last year and the main reason for this is the fact they were in a contest and the rules were they had to drink so much water with out using the bathroom which lead to thier deaths from water poisoning so yes you can die from drinking toooo much water only if you dont use the restroom after wards...

This is a good question because many people have heard about over hydrating the body and don't understand it.

What our bodies need is lots of water, however, we need to drink that water throughout the day, not all at one tiime.

This condition of too much water is called Water Intoxication or Hyponatremia.

The cause of this is normally an electrolyte imbalance and generally is associated with athletes or infants under 6 months of age but could be associated with a person that is suffering from kidney disease.

The following information might help you to understand how and why this happens.

" If you force large amounts of water into your system over a short period of time, your kidneys will struggle to eliminate enough water from your system to keep the overall amount at a safe level.

As your blood circulatory system becomes diluted with excess water, the concentration of electrolytes in your blood will drop relative to the concentration of electrolytes in your cells. In an effort to maintain an equal balance of electrolytes between your blood and your cells, water will seep into your cells from your blood, causing your cells to swell.

If this swelling occurs in your brain, the bones that make up your skull hardly budge. The result is an increase in intracranial pressure i.e. your brain gets squeezed. Depending on how much water your drink in a short period of time, you could experience a wide variety of symptoms, ranging from a mild headache to impaired breathing. And as occurred recently in the tragic water-drinking contest, it is quite possible to die if you drink enough water in a short enough period of time."

I hope this answered your question, while at the same time did not suggest that you should avoid water. We need plenty of fluids to maintain our health, the key is to drink the water throughout the day not all at one time.

I consume 2-3 gallons daily. Water has helped me lower my blood pressure, gotten rid of my cholesterol and I have the cleanest colon ever. I urinate my extra water out. Water helps oxygen get to the cells. I will never ever stop drinking water. I have not had a cold or the flu in 3 years since I started my regimen.

Smoking something once you're already below the impact of alcohol will make you lightheaded and dizzy. You had a panic attack because of the fact the two you had never been that tousled in the past or you in ordinary terms weren't in the physique of strategies to be getting intense. next time, smoke a joint after which drink. plenty smoother journey.

No, but you can die from drinking too much water. By doing so, you are diluting the concentration of electrolytes in your body, resulting in brain and organ damage. So make sure you're getting your electrolytes (salt).
