It's very important that you like her for more than her looks. If you do, then you sould talk to your current girlfriend and be honest, tell her you still kinda have feelings for your ex, that way she can she a brake up may be underway. Talk to your ex, and ask her how she still feels about you. If she says she still has feelings for you and not as much for her current boyfriend then ask her how she would feel about givvin it another chance. Make sure that when you tell her that you wanna get back together it's for more than just her looks. Be sure to be prepared for rejection, for she might not be interested in giving it another try, but life is about chances. You gotta be willing to take them.

I wouldn't say anything to her because there was a reason you broke up. But if the time comes when you both are single and you still feel the same way, ask her out again. As a woman, I never have liked the relationship the second time around and hate it when guys keep asking. Gaining a friend is nice though (I know, not the "friend" thing... but we really dig our guy friends, it's one of the best thing a girl can have).

if you only like her because shes hot then its not even worth it. and youre quite shallow for thinking that way in the first place.
