Have you ever been misdiagnosed with any medical condition?
Not a major condition but something minor like eczema or emphysema.

Yes, once I just had a really bad flu, but the doctor claimed I had a sinus infection and prescribed me antibiotics that caused me to break out in a nasty rash the morning of this birthday party of this guy I really liked. Quite traumatic for a high school senior, which is what I was at the time!

Yes. I've been misdiagnosed with "bronchial spasm" when I had pneumonia. I don't know what was wrong with that doctor because I told him I had pneumonia-- I had had it one or two weeks before and I could tell it was a relapse.
I was misdiagnosed with IBS when I had a really bad ovarian cyst (and then it took them long enough to decide the cyst was a cyst!). A couple of other really wierd things as well. Emphysema can be pretty major, btw. I was misdiagnosed with sleep apnea. I don't even know how you misdiagnose someone with that. You have to be careful around doctors and you should do your homework before seeing one if you can. I suspect some doctors would be happy to watch their patients die if it didn't mean liability for them.

seems like all the time lately.
In the past year I've been diagnosed with a bunch of different things and none of them seem to be right, Now it looks like I've been really misdiagnosed and overlooked. What they originally thought to be carpal tunnel is now looking to be rheumatoid arthritis and/or lups, and degenerative disc disease. I really dispise the medical practice. You gotta wonder about these Doctor's out there.
