Has anyone ever heard that if you love a person so much you would rather leave them alone?

excuse? naaa, you've just never been there yourself. I loved someone once so much that I just avoided her...I didn't want to complicate her life that I saw as so beautiful....so for a year we quietly coexisted. Then she told me she had feelings for me. Of course at that point we both pursued a relationship and have been dating for two and a half years now with plans of marriage...soooo, ya I didn't do too good of a job at avoiding her, thank God ;-)

But your point is still moot. Some people are worth being loved even though they lack the ability to reciprocate it. Maybe you're one of those people.

I've never heard that, yeah that is a good excuse to go find another piece of a** . Men are the biggest phoniest and have the biggest line of BS, I don't know how they think all these excuses to go and have their fun then come back to you with all these lines that you have seen on TV. "I love you more today, than I did yesterday and I'll love you more tomorrow than I did today or ," I loved you then , I love you now and I will always love you " or "I love you more than anyone in the world and I'll tell you one thing I never loved anyone the way I love you". BALONEY

It may be a boring excuse but it's a reason just the same. If he says he'll end up hurting you.. believe him. Move on.

This is just an excuse. If you love someone, you would want to continue to love that person.
