what anime is this?

It had a boy with black hair, he was I believe 8 yrs old and he saved this girl from this monster in a lake from an underground cavern. I think it was an anime movie and it looked sort of old probably made aroundthe time of el hazard I think. the girl was about the same height and i believe the kid said when he grew up he wanted to be a hero. oh and the girl had i think blue hair or skin (Not sure which I saw parts of the show). Oh and the kid kept trying to save the girl when she kept telling him she hates humans.

and No it is not Lum nor DBZ.

Update:

it is not east enders, no damn soap opera its an ANIME.

Update 2:

the anime looked alittle old maybe released around the time of el hazard or the original evangelion series I believe.
