anybody knows a scholarship/foundation for grade school kids in the Philippines?
i am trying to look for a scholarship being offered to grade school kids (aged 12 below), hu are currently studying in private school. kids are siblings, family are having a hard time supporting them currently (financial crisis) but they would want to still send kids to private school. This is unusual case bec. based on income of the father (wife not working), it will look ok but bec. of the huge debts incurred, income will not support schooling, sometimes basic needs.
Im hoping to find scholarship for at least the 2 elder kids, not to be pulled out in private school, grades ok not really excellent, father will explain why income ok but debt high for approval of scholarship if asked by the foundation. Dis is a serious case, really would like to help them; its really complex 2 elaborate here. D family is a good friend of mine. God bless those who can provide answers & have a kind heart...

i understand; i graduated from a public HS and university as well. but given the situation that they cant pull out the kids from private school at the moment (its only Aug), outside 'intervention/changes' first before imposing the changes on the kids bec it can be quite tough as it is.
To tell you the truth, public schools right now in the Phils are not as good as before unlike my time (except for science schools i guess)...but that's another issue altogether.

most public schools do offer quality education and there is nothing wrong about going to public schools. it would help if parents take time to follow up on their kids schoolwork in public schools. it is often said that "education is a right and not a privilege." i want to see this in practice.
