I have MS-Office 2003. When I'm typing something why do I get screens that pop up out of nowhere?

They're legal MS screens for doing various functions in Word, but I don't know why they pop up. I got no answers from Microsoft (like I thought I would) either. Anyone else having this kind of problem? It's not virus related.

I don't really understand the problem you are having, but a feature, that started with Microsoft Word 2002 and continued into later versions, called TASK PANE, a window within the program that pops up and displays frequently used commands, could be what you are seeing.

If that is the case, read all about disableing the annoying task panes on the web site below :

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/286374/en-us?spid=...

If what you are seeing are "screen tips", then just click on TOOLS, then OPTIONS, then "uncheck" Screen Tips.

Pop ups may or may not be virus related. They are for ad. for product and services. But they really obstruct our free flow of web page & is irritating too. Best thing is to enable the pop blocker available in the tool bars of yahoo or gmail.
