solutions? Bail out the big three?

We need to have a Manhatton style, Moon project style effort to get us off of our dependence on oil. We should fund the Big Three to come up with fuel cell vehicles, alternate fuel vehicles. This would help global warming and increase our industrial base.

Update:

I'm talking about it as a national energy policy. We , the people through the government fund this like the trip to the Moon. We have the technology. We have to focus our resources and our resolve to rid us of oil dependancy

Actually fuel cell cars are already here, and there are more than one manufaturer in the US and other countries. the challenge is making affordable hydrogen and distribution. If we fund that, we are on our way.

There is already a battery operated car but big oil and auto companies blocked it becoming available to the public...and this bio-fuel they are working on now is a sham...

Sounds good, but the oil companies will be on your door step soon.

If there are no profits to be had, they won't do it
