Get some tampons, and follow the directions. If you have to, ask your girlfriends, or you mom, or a lady family member for help.

DONT go in the water without one.

Well first off using a tampon is kinda scary at first... There are alot of things you dont know about them... But first off i want to assure you that they can NOT get lost inside you!! If the string breaks "VERY RARE" you can always just use your fingers and pull it out... You cant get things lost because there is nowhere for it to go.. Up inside there it is just a pocket... There is only a VERY small opening in the cervix which not much can fit through.. A tampon is WAYYY to big to fit through!! I dont even think a toothpick could fit!!! So dont worry about it getting lost... You can ALWAYS get it out just by using your fingers! Also there are always inserts in the tampon box that will teach you how to use them!! Besides that i dont think there is much you can do... I know that being in water makes u not bleed "as bad anyways" so if you are on really light then you could prob just stay in the pool the whole time with no tampon!! But i would think that someday you should really learn how to use a tampon... They are SOO helpful... and so much cleaner then pads... Good luck girl!!

Ask you mom or a trusted adult female to help you use a tampon. Its the only sure way to not bleed onto your swimsuit. I know a lot of people say the blood flow stops when you hit the water, but that's not always true cause I still bleed and I know of other that do to. The box of tampons has instructions if you're too uncomfortable to ask someone for help. Just relax and it'll be fine.

I don't recommend using a panty liner unless you know your period is really light. If you lay out (out of the water) it could bleed through your swimsuit . I actually had the same problem as you did once. I, even though I didn't want to, got a tampon in and that was the start of wearing them. I would suggest a playtex easy guide tampon. Get a regular one -- not heavy or superduty or anything. Good luck sweetie :)

the tampon box comes with complete detailed instructions inside the box which help a lot, also get the ones that are specially made for teens because they are smaller and are easier to use when you first start using them

Just suck it up and learn to use a tampon, you just put it in, there is no other place it can go! Just relax and just slide it in, otherwise you will be stuck sitting out or bleeding all over the water, and no one likes pink water.

Well unless you want blood all around in the pool, I recommend not swimming if you are that uncomfortable with tampons, if you don't really mind them, then were it, but if you don't have any experience with them then DO NOT were one because you can get SERIOUSLY INJURED!!!

actually, blood stops flowing when your in water. dont quote me on that, but i heard it from several friends who know what they're talking about. and its true for me. dont use a tampon if your not comfortable with it, it makes it waaayyyy more difficult.

hope this helps! dont worry too much, it could make your period earlier or later, messing things up =) itll be fine! dont worry =D

You automaticly stop bleeding the second your in water so all you have to do is wear a panty Liner and the second you get out go and change.!

    Best of luck.=]
