Missing fuse for central locking system/interior lights on my 2002 VW Golf?

I have been having turn signal issues that have made me take a close look at my fuse box. I discovered I am missing fuse#14 which is supposed to be for interior lights & the central locking system. What is the central locking system? (is this just my keyless entry?) and why are my interior lights working if I don't have this fuse?

Will putting in a fuse cause any problems if there hasn't been one already?

Central locking system is exactly what it says. You can unlock one door and fuel door or all doors. It correlates with the keyless and the dome lights as well. Make sure you put the correct amperage fuse indicated on the fuse panel or owner's manual. If the fuse blows as soon as you put it in, then there is a problem with the wiring for the central locking system. As for your turn signal, you did not explain what the problem is. Flashing too fast? Its a bulb.

I also have a 2000 Xsara sturdy factor and the comparable factor has in simple terms started happening. I took out the fuse for the substantial locking yet had to swap it as i controlled all the dashboard dials, ie speedo gas gauge and heating. I even have purely had the motor vehicle 4 weeks and that i washed it at a jet wash then the following day this got here approximately, i ponder whether something have been given moist ???? different than for that should welcome some suggestions :-( ok, i got here upon I even have 2 split wires interior the drivers door and one million it particularly is showing signs and indications of splitting. My question is how do i re connect the wires to the connectors??? or how do i take out the connectors so as that i will rethread the twine lower back into the connector?
