What is the meaning of Yellow Zig-Zag Lines and Double Zig-Zag Lines along the Road Side?
I thought Double Zigzag Lines means No Stopping along the Road. If it's true... then what are Single Zigzag Lines for? Does it mean No Waiting? Or No Parking?
Since Double Yellow Continuous already mean No Parking

If stopping a motorist then the police can stop and deal with that motorist on double yellow lines. I see no issue with that. That is not flouting the law. In relation to the zig-zag lines then I would suggest that the officers got the motorist to move forwards so that they could clear the zig zags. After all the purpose of the zig zag lines are to give other motorists a clear view of the crossing. If they didn't and just put their warning lights on all they would be doing would be to distract the attention of other motorists away from the crossing. So in answer to your question it would be wiser to move forwards slightly (or backwards, whichever is the case).

Parking on double yellow lines or zig zags would have to be justified by the officer doing it. We are not above the law. However, if an officer thought it appropriate to stop in such an area then they would be subject to the same laws as everyone else. if they were prosecuted then their justification would be looked at in the same way as yours would if you had committed the offence. However, common sense must prevail. If an officer attended a report of someone being stabbed or another emergency and had to park on zig zags then this would obviously be justified.

Double means no stopping at all, yellow means you can stop to drop someone off but you can't park there.
