my guess is shes probably taking it in small quantities so she can calm nerves but remain awake. depending on how long shes been taking it, i would give 1 day for every week shes been taking it with total flush of body in 1 month. my mom has the drug book at her house that answers all of these questions. you should pick it up since ur a paramedic and have it handy in car. shows pics of medicines and gives half lives and interactions and pregnancy answers.

Xanax remains in your system up to 2 months, depending how long your wife has been taking it. I got pregnant while taking Lorazepam (same family as xanax) and my baby is fine. My doctor has kept me on it as well because I have an anxiety disorder which makes it hard to do normal things, and I also don't eat the greatest when off of it so I was losing weight. She plans to have me start weening off of it around 33-34 weeks so that it is out of my system when the baby comes. Good luck. I hope that she does better than me without the anxiety medications!! Its really only a risk when taken in the first trimester. I stopped taking it the first trimester which didn't bother me because I was sick all the time anyways.

Yes around 30 days. I'd get her to talk with her Doctor to take something else during pregnancy. There are many safe meds.

Up to 30 days. Pregnancy and Xanax do not mix at all! It can cause miscarriages. Please be careful.
