YA Fans or Foes????????? Curious?

Why is it after "Fans" started popping up on my YA I started getting all kinds of warnings???. I never had any prior to that. I noticed most had between 80 to 120 points for answering questions. It strikes me as odd that 4 or 5 people very new to YA would be my "Fans" What do you think about that??? Curious to see responses.

Fans can be fun and help you a lot. Then there are some people who just want to cause a little trouble. They go into your questions and answers and check No Best Answer on all your Undecided Questions. One guy got reported for 29 answers in the same hour. One of his Fans had gone into his Profile and "reported as abuse" all his answers for the week..

Newbies tend to add a user to their list of contacts who has helped them once. They do this to show their appreciation and think that their new contact may help again if needed. While this behaviour is perfectly understandable, I personally don't accept such fans in most cases to protect my privacy. I had some trolls report me falsely, so I check regularly who has added me. I also found that some newbies watch your questions and answers, copy your original answers and later post them as their own - which is fraud of course. So be careful, most users on YA are okay, but there's always the occasional rotten apple...
