What's the diference between a V8 Supercharged/turbo charged pumping 500 BHP as opposed to a...?
V12 pumping 500BHP.
I see plenty of V12 that have 500+ BHP and V8 that also have 500B HP but have super chargers. What's the performance difference between the two engine types.

Naturally aspirated engines have a wider more flexible, linear and predictable power band, no turbo lag. Performance turbo engines tend to make the power in a more narrower RPM range. Ultimate performance may be the same but the non turbo engine will be more pleasant to drive on a daily basis.

The V-12 beast will be smoother and stronger at low RPM and deliver more use able torque even if both engines are rated at the same overall HP. The Supercharged V-8 will provide somewhat better fuel economy due to being both smaller displacement and lighter than the V-12.
