IS THERE A VET. IN HOUSTON, TX. THAT?

IS NOT AS EXPENSIVE?

MY HUSBAND AND I ARE ANIMAL LOVERS. WE HAVE ADOPTED 4 CATS FROM THE STREETS, SO THE HAVE A HOME AND FOOD.

WE ALSO HAVE A POODLE AND BIRTHS.

I AM NOT ABLE TO WORK.

4 DAYS AGO, MY HUSBAND FOUND A MINY POMERANIAN IN A PARK THAT THERE IS NOTHING BUT TREES, ETC....(NO MORE)

YOU CAN TELL THEY WENT TO DUMP HIM. HE IS OLD, HE NEEDS A LOT OF WORK IN HIS TEETH, HE IS IN PAIN ALL THE TIME.

WE TOOK HIM TO THE VET. AND TOLD US THE DENTAL WORK HE NEED ID PRETTY HIGH.

WE HAVE LOOKED FOR SOME OTHER PEOPLE TO HELP HIM AND KEEP HIM, BUT YOU KNOW.....PEOPLES HEARTS ?.....

I KNOW THAT IF WE HAD THE MONEY, WE WOULD GLADLY DO IT.

SO, DO YOU KNOW A PLACE OR A VET, THAT DO SOMETHING FOR THIS POOR LITTLE DOG?

S.P.C.A. AND ALL THOUSE PLEASE, CAN NOT HELP HIM.

I HOPE SOMEBODY LET ME KNOW ABOUT WHERE TO GO.

THANKS.

Here are some links to rescues. Some are in Houston & the Houston metro area:

dog trainer 30 plus years -

Okay, first get on the internet and type in google pomeranian rescue, houston, tx. I am a foster mom for dogs as well as train them as a business. The rescue may take it and send it to a foster home where it will be well cared for and get the dental work through a vet that works with that specific rescue. The foster parents do not have to pay for anything but food/shelter/and clothing (coat) if it is needed. The rescues work with the animals and makes sure the are not only healthy physical wise...but healthy emotionally before finding them their forever homes. I wish you luck...and Houston is full of them...I have trained many animals in that specific area.

There are only three good options here:

    1) Talk to the folks at every rescue organization you can think of, because they *may* know vets that will perform work on rescue animals at cost.

    2) Talk to every vet you can think of, and LET THEM KNOW THIS IS A RESCUE; there are a few vets out there that will either (a) do work at cost for rescues or (b) have had money willed to them for the purposes of doing medical work on rescues (the vet where I live now is friends with my parents' vet, and some lady willed her a fund for this purpose - this is in Jackson, Mississippi).

    3) Surrender the dog to a Pomeranian rescue organization.

Find a rescue or SOMETHING that can help him! And rehome all of your dogs and cats except for one of each. That seems like all you can afford. :(
