What is this Nasal Discharge?

I Have been sick for weeks now, upper resp infection, bronchitis, cough, sore throat. But now I have this almost brown watery discharge from one nostril. I also have constant sinus headaches. I am guessing a sinus infection, but thought that would cause thick, not water, mucus.

By the way I am 33 YOM and a paramedic.

Any info will help.

Well, you may need to see a doctor about this one.... I had something like you are describing once a few years back and it turned out to be a fungus infection in my sinuses. Rare but it does happen and antibiotics have not effect on it. You need an anti-fungal medication for it to clear up.

Also, the brown discharge you are referring to may simply be diluted spent (old) blood in your nose dripping out.... in any case, I would see a physician...

    GOOD LUCK !!!

This sounds like a nasal infection to me. Maybe it's snot (sorry couldn't resist). I've heard the latest thinking is that color doesn't matter, but I don't buy that.
