OK,, I need to buy fabric, retail.?

Walmart does not sell it, Piece goods is long gone,,,, so,,, where do you buy fabric? I have to put together a blanket sample or something like that in less than 48 hours, so retail is about my only option. I will be looking online for fabric later, if this girl scout project gets approved.

Anyone,,,, help,,,, who sells fabric retail. If it helps, I live in NC, near the Triad area.

If you have already checked your phonebook for "fabric - retail" and haven't found anything, try this. Joann Fabrics and Crafts is a nationwide chain. They have a website with a store locator feature. Go to www.joann.com and see where your nearest store would be. Then, print out their online coupon and take it with you. It gives you 40% off any one regular-price item, including a cut of fabric.

look in the phone book under 'quilting.' Most of the fabric will be cotton and flannel, tho. Depending on the store, they might have other fabrics.

Otherwise, since you're just making a sample, you could substitute a bed sheet for the time being. Walmart sells some bed linens that don't cost too much.
