Is it possible to have cirrhosis at 18 y/o?
Is it possible to have cirrhosis of the liver if you've been drinking every day a liter of vodka for 6 months because I have a lot of pain in my liver and the doctor took a blood test and told me it was inflammed....

Cirrhosis is a chronic liver disease and will only develop as a result of your drinking in years to come. However, an inflammed liver is the precursor to furture cirrhosis. Stop drinking genius.

It is very possible, the two most likely causes being alcoholic liver disease or an chronic hepatitis infection. These are the most common, but there are about a dozen other hereditary or autoimmune diseases that can cause inflammation and pain.

Not only is it possible...it's probable. Quit drinking or you'll be in serious trouble by the time you are 21.
