You are right to put inverted commas round "famous". There are a variety of different grades of fame. You can be famous in your area, in your professional circles, nationally or internationally.
As you have not defined your terms, ultimately it will not tell us very much.

very few out of 6 billions worldwide, only actors, footballers and singers... plus few others.
