Psoriasis help..............?

Anyone have it on their hands, topicals have done little to help. Have it other places, but my hands are my biggest concern, because I can't hide them. Just looks so ugly.

Update:

other parts of my body have responded fairly well to topical treatments, but not my hands. they are stubborn as hell

I want for you to ask your doctor about Clobetasol propionate. It is v-e-r-y STRONG and has some side effects. It has helped me and other family members. I hope that this helps you as well. I understand your pain. What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, WHO can be against us? - Romans 8:31 The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. - Mark 11:24 I wish you continued success. Peace!

There is one medication that doctors are sometimes hesitant to prescribe because it is so powerful, and can have systemic side effects throughout the body if over used. Also once applied it should not be covered or cut off from direct air circulation because it can possibly burn and damage the skin if it is.

If you talk with your doctor about the proper use, read all of the directions carefully, keep the directions in a drawer for referral, and use it carefully, Triamcinolne Acetonide Cream may help if you have not tried it yet.

The main cause of psoriasis is overreaction of the immune system. I try to eat healthy food and avoid stress as much as I can in order to prevent flare-ups.

After using number of prescription drugs I've turned to the natural treatments.

Now I use herbal remedies from serenaskin.com, which aim at the root of the disease - the immune system, and are steroid-free.

After about 2 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up and now I just continue with anti-psoriasis extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months now.

It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.

Look for a non-greasy cream that contains tar. It might work. Psoriasis is so tricky. Won't hurt to try.

Is there a makeup (base) for the face that could cover your hands?

If you find an ointment or cream that helps, apply to hands at night, and sleep in loose cotton gloves (or a pair of brand-new white cotton athletic socks.

    Good luck.
